Great Family Vacation Rental With All The Amenities Available!

A wonderfully furnished, 4 bedroom family oriented beach home that sleeps 14 comfortably (bunk room sleeps up to 8!). 2 blocks from the beach with a great ocean view from the master suite.

Expect to want to return to this property every year. Bunk room allows you to fit several kids and has its own xbox and tv so they can make it their living room while adults can relax in the main living space.

Nice place!!!

It actually felt like we were home. Host was great. Minor repairs could be done with bannister outside on first floor but other than that, would definitely stay again!!!

Great Location

Pros of property- Location! Literally 3 min walk to beach and walkable to all downtown restaurants, bars, etc. Ample parking. Quiet street. Ample room for kids in the bunk room with attached bathroom. Balcony off livingroom and balcony off master bedroom are nice. Bathrooms were clean, bedding was clean. Cons of property- first impressions are everything- when you enter the house from the patio you are looking at stairs that have some bare treads and some with carpet padding still on them- the carpet is rolled up and thrown in the alcove with the beach items. Beach bicycles are encrusted with dust and cobwebs-broken chains, flat tires (listing shows new bikes) kitchen was not clean-microwave was dirty inside, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, kitchen sink had not been scoured in a long time, bed in master bedroom was sitting up on 2X6 pieces of wood. Biggest disappointment-patio area- bar area was unusable-totes, old carpet cleaner, old cans of bug spray stacked behind the bar, refrigerator that does not work was in patio area (was not strapped shut-safety hazard), grass in the back (listing says garden?) was uncut and appeared to have not been cut at all this season, leaves and debris in all corners, firepit that was rusted through lay on its side, old charcoal bbq sat in one alcove, various extra items were stacked against the fence (extra boards, old grills grates) and place needs to be sprayed for pests-I get it- its the south but you can spray or have an exterminator.

Family of 12 Beach trip + friends

This home accommodated our large group but it was a tight squeeze a. It was in a great location with easy access to the beach, we walked to & from even with our smaller children without issue which was nice. We had trouble with delayed responses from the host at times which typically is no big deal but when the AC stopped working on our last evening it didn’t make for the best ending to our family vacation. Overall it was a good experience & we’ll be back Carolina Beach for sure, it’s the perfect location for families that want calm & relaxing!

Great stay with kids!

The house had a great location, easy walk to the beach to trek allllll the things kids need, the provided wagon was a huge help. The dead end street also great to allow kids to get some energy out. The beach cruisers are not usable, but not needed to get to the beach. Overall a great family vacation!

Amazing Property!

The pictures do not do this property justice - it's awesome! Not only is it a beautiful home but the easy access to the beach, an ice cream shop right around the corner and a Tiki Bar you can walk to, make it a great vacation rental! To get to the aquarium and Fort Fisher took all of 15 minutes and getting in and out of Wilmington is so easy and took maybe 25 minutes! Definitely one of our very favorite rentals!

Definitely Recommend

Great location on cul-de-sac. Quiet. Short walk to beach. Sit on either porch (main floor or off master bedroom) to enjoy sunrise, sunset or looking at stars. Peaceful way to start the day. Home was very spacious and tastefully decorated. We are hoping to come back!

Easy Walk to the Beach.

This house worked well for our family of 13. We really enjoyed that it was a short walk to the beach, especially with 7 kids. However, because we had 7 kids we were expecting to use the trundle bed that was listed in the kids room. Unfortunately, it wasn’t there. I reached out to the owner but never heard back from them. The bikes are definitely unusable as one of our family members had to walk it home, even after working on it before they left. We would stay here again but just be aware the kids room only sleeps 6.

Salty Swine Beach House

Some little piggies got sunburns, Some little piggies were smart, Some little piggies drank too much, Some little piggies had none, All little piggies cried Wah Wah Wah all the way home! 7 adults family with dogs and had plenty room. Nice place a block from beach walkover. Small town in good location to few restaurants and shops. Nice stay and just like that back to work!

A Thanksgiving Family gathering

Great family house with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. Awesome location to beach and restaurants. Couch was slightly stained but chairs and bedding were fine. Only issue was the owner’s boat was in the driveway but luckily the other duplex owner was not at home so had permission to use their driveway

Well stocked Kitchen

Great place to rent on a quiet Cul-de-sac. The best kitchen I have had in a rental in a long time. I love to cook so I usually bring my own spices, knives, kitchen towels and skillet and a few other things I need to cook with but this home had everything but a really large pot to cook crabs. The house was clean and tidy and very nicely decorated. If I had to complain it would be some spots on carpet and a downstairs door that needed cleaning which both I considered minor. Otherwise there is nothing else to complain about because the positives out weigh everything else. I felt completely at home in the rental. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their home. We like to try different homes when we visit Carolina Beach or Kure and I feel we will return again to this one.
