Relaxing Carnelian Bay Retreat - within walking distance to lake

Close to all that Lake Tahoe has to offer, this updated and family-friendly home is surrounded by mature pine trees at the end of a quiet cul de sac, and features large decks, beautiful alder woodwork throughout, a renovated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a floor to ceiling river rock wood burning fireplace and large welcoming living spaces. Four bedrooms and two baths on two stories with a loft, provides sleeping accommodation for 10 with 3 queen beds, an extra twin, and a bunk room. After a day on the lake (a short 5 minute walk away), settle into the sunken seating area in front of the stone fireplace, shoot some pool on the antique pool table, or hang outside and enjoy a drink on the large furnished decks. The home is equipped with wifi, cable, flat screen TV, wood-burning fireplace, full kitchen, a new Weber gas grill, pool table, washer/dryer, a game closet and an accessible locker for guests with snow and water play items.

This home is the perfect location for all-year relaxation, fun, recreation and Lake Tahoe memories. It is within walking distance of the lake, miniature golf and places to eat and drink, including Gar Woods Grill & Pier. There are also two boat launches and recreation areas within five miles if you want to get out on the water in your kayak, paddle board, or boat. Northstar Ski Resort is only 11 miles away, and 16 ski resorts are within 30 miles of the home. The home is also locally managed to provide an excellent guest experience.

You must be 25 years or older to rent this property, and there are no pets or smoking allowed. Occupancy Limit -- 10 Adults.

Amazing stay! Super family friendly

We had a great time. The house is on a quiet cul de sac where we could all play and enjoy the nature. Lots of stuff to do within 10-15 minutes and the house was very clean, lots of bedrooms and fun for all!

Wonderful cabin

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Dave and Carolyn were very friendly hosts -- for example, they went out of their way to warn us of an upcoming storm. Very cozy and clean cabin in a nice neighborhood. Would happily stay here again!

Great location on a quiet court

We had a nice time skiing and relaxing at the cabin. The lighting is a bit dim in the living area but it was cozy and kitchen had all the supplies that we needed.

It had all the comforts of home, with thoughtful touches that made the stay feel extra special.The interior was clean and well-maintained, with a charming rustic feel that added to the cozy experience.Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I’d highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway in Lake Tahoe. Carnelian Bay

When we book this house, we like the way it looked and it was good price however when we arrived at the property we liked even more because this place was very clean very cozy and comfortable and the pictures doesn’t do justice. The owners of this place are great people. We has great communication with them. We stayed during the snow storm of March 1st and unfortunately the roads were closed and couldn’t return home on Sunday however thankfully the host allowed us to stay extra day without charge. I highly recommend this place and would come back in the future.

Everything you’d ever need.

The cabin was great. Very clean when we arrived. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all very well kept. Plenty of towels and toiletries. The owners were very communicative with any questions I had and briefly met the property manager who cleared some now to give us parking for another car. Great location near ski resorts. Would stay here again.

Perfect Winter getaway

The place was just as described and perfect for our ski vacation. Fully stocked kitchen made it a breeze to cook. Kids loved the living room pit and played there all the time. Property manager was responsive to our questions and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Can’t wait to stay here again on our next trip to North Tahoe.

A great time was had!

We had a great stay at this home. The house is very cozy and warm, We enjoyed the nice fireplace each evening. If you are a bit of a walker, you can walk down to the lake. We did a bit of skiing at both Northstar and Palisades, we enjoyed a trip over to Truckee and to South Lake Tahoe. The house has everything you need, bring yourself and clothes, you will enjoy your time here!

Such a wonderful home!!

I can’t say enough great things! The house was exactly as described and better. Such a peaceful neighborhood. We all felt so welcomed and had the best time being able to enjoy our family time together. The owners and property management were amazing. We had everything we needed to cook meals and sleep so comfy. The sunken living room was great for the kids. They built a fort and all camped out. It was great seeing all the cousins getting to bond and be together. We had the best time and would love to book again. This was such a great home to spend your Tahoe vacation at!! I highly recommend booking!!!!!! Thank you so much VRBO and to the owners!!!

Enjoyed our stay!

The house was very nice, location was good, nice neighborhood. We do a lot of cooking and were very pleased with the kitchen - fully stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils and pans. We enjoyed the large deck and grill. Bedrooms were clean and cozy. And, the pool table was a big hit!!

Beautiful and Cozy Perfect Place

This home felt welcoming, cozy and sweet from the moment we walked in. The layout is perfect for groups, with a really smooth flow between the kitchen, dining table, and living room, and even the sliding doors to outside, so adults and kids could all be hanging out and connected, even when the kids were out on the deck playing in the snow and with the icicles hanging from the roof! It was safe for a baby and the rooms all felt very comfortable and pretty. Being in the cul-de-sac made for a quiet stay, safe for the kids to be out, and also so peaceful to go walk in the streets and neighborhood. We loved it and highly recommend it!
