Relax in Style in Carlsbad's Best Location

This tranquil retreat is located in Carlsbad Village, right across the street from Carlsbad’s best beach, making it the perfect getaway. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the historic Monterey-Gage condo complex, you can literally walk to everything: the beach, the shops, restaurants, services, night spots, the train station, the lagoons, and parks. You will enjoy the beach life in this relaxing one bedroom condo which boasts spacious front and back patios which add to your enjoyment of the great Carlsbad weather. Inside enjoy a new 50-inch flat screen tv and a comfortable queen-size sofa bed. The master bedroom features a California king bed with an ultra quiet split air-conditioning unit to keep you cool and comfortable as well as a new 32-inch flat screen smart tv. French doors lead to the brick-paved patio. This ground-level condo also has a covered carport just steps away as well as a common BBQ/patio area. Beach toys, boogie boards, and beach chairs are provided for your time at the beach. Come and enjoy the beach life and the charm of Carlsbad at a location you cannot beat. We offer no contact check-in. If booking in summer, we only rent weekly - Saturday to Saturday.

The location was excellent. Easy access to shopping, numerous restaurants, and the beach. We rented a car but rarely used it other than for a hiking day and a drive to the flower gardens. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had a full set of spices. The space was perfect for us and we enjoyed the patio while drinking coffee and reading. The host provided beach chairs and umbrellas which we used daily. Check in and check out were a breeze. The host was very accommodating and communicative. She even reached out to us on a night we lost power to check in with us and provide us with an update as to how long the power was to be out. I would definitely recommend this property and look forward to future stays.

The condo or apartment is in a perfect location to just park your vehicle in the designated spot and walk everywhere you want to go. It was such an easy, short stroll to the beach, so I woke up early each day and headed out to listen to the waves and breathe in the ocean air. You're already right next to a whole bunch of good breakfast and coffee places, and nothing tastes better than vacation coffee. The bed was super comfortable. The water pressure was very good and the kitchen has everything needed to make your own meals. Pam was super responsive to any questions, too.

Spotless beach themed sunny apartment just a 2 block walk from the beach. There's a reserved parking spot in the carport just steps from the apartment and the grounds are immaculate. Comfy bed, great shower, the kitchen is well stocked if you are planning on cooking. If you're not cooking, the Village is very close, many restaurant and shopping options. Keyless entry was so convenient. Host was quick to respond when we had a question. The only surprise was the close proximity of the train tracks, weekdays the train starts at 5am, the train has minimal cars, the noise passes quickly and the route isn't used at night.

She left chocolates on her bed! The location was absolutely perfect walking to the beach and to restaurants and it was comfortable, clean and quiet. I had green space when we needed it and beach equipment as well. Thank you so much.

My wife and I have returned to this property several times. Its location is terrific -- within walking distance to several great restaurants, interesting shops, and, of course, Carlsbad's spectacular beach. The covered parking is a nice perk. The host is extremely responsive. We had an issue with the TV. She replied to my message promptly and helped me resolve the issue, even though she was on vacation herself! I strongly recommend this property.

This is truly the best location in Carlsbad to stay! It was a short walk to anywhere we wanted to go, about 5 minutes to any of the restaurants. It was clean and comfortable, we would love to stay here again in the future!

Pleasant Stay

Pleasant stay- nice sized, very clean updated older unit with comfortable seating and memory foam mattress, large TV, well supplied kitchen including spices. Our host thought of every amenity! Grounds were also well kept. Seemed like a good area, conveniently located within walking distance to everywhere. It was cooler than we expected for end of April, so we didn't make much use of the shaded nice little patio.

Great Condo in the Village

This is a very nicely kept 1 bedroom 1 bath condo. The owner is doing what it takes to keep the place up. It was comfortable, close to shops and the beach and walking distance to everywhere you want to be. It was a great trip and we will definitely look for this unit to be available again. Pam is communicative and friendly.

Not up to vrbo standards

Unit wasn’t very clean, very messy dirty kitchen cupboards. Bathroom had long black hair in tub (we both have short gray hair so it wasn’t ours!) the whole room smells of mold. Bathroom door doesn’t close. We have been vacationing in Carlsbad for 30+ years and stayed in many VRBO units , this was by far the worst ever!!! It needs a deep cleaning and extensive maintenance.

Back Again

We've stayed in Pam's condo numerous times and always look forward to our next stay. Location is great as we prefer to walk or take the Coaster rather than driving. Occasional sounds from the upstairs unit can be heard. We do enjoy the sounds of the trains going by. We like to relax on the patio early morning and late evenings. The complex is generally quiet as most tenants are respectful of others.

Great Condo

In the heart of Carlsbad village, just a short walk from the Coaster station to take you up to Oceanside or even all the way down to San Diego. Very cozy and clean place in a quiet yet beautiful neighborhood!
