\"Love Corner\" is a small but cosy apartment in Carate Urio, a peaceful town on the shores of Lake Como. The modern decor with light tones blends well with the stone walls, creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

This apartment can accommodate up to three people. There is a double bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, and a living area including a kitchen, a sofa bed, and a wall-mounted television. For your comfort, both in the entrance area and in the bedroom, there is air conditioning.

ACCESSIBILITY

The apartment is located on the ground floor and can be accessed after climbing a couple of flights of stairs.

PARKING

The apartment does not have private parking but you can park your car nearby along the main road - only within the blue lines (which are subject to charges during certain hours), because the parking spaces delimited by yellow lines are for the exclusive use of residents.

NEIGHBORHOOD

The property is located in Carate Urio and is situated on the western shore of Lake Como. Carate Urio is a small town rich in history, and its narrow streets are lined with ancient stone houses. When the sun sets behind the mountains, the town is bathed in sunlight.

GETTING AROUND

For our guests\' convenience, we suggest arriving by car.

Alternatively, it is possible to take the bus or ferry to travel around. ASF Autolinee buses are in operation in the area. Tickets can be obtained from the driver (cash only) or in designated places (see their website). Taxis are also available, but not easily attainable in the region.

From the “Urio” pier, a local ferry service will take you to Como and some other lakeside towns. Tickets can also be bought online on the Navigazione Laghi website.

From Como San Giovanni station, there are regular trains departing to Milano Centrale and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). From Como Nord Lago, there is a train connection to Milano Cadorna.

The nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. It is possible to arrange a direct shuttle to and from the airport at an additional cost.

TIPS

>We advise you to take a day to visit the marvelous little towns around the lake. Como city is the urban centre of the area, but the little towns are gems with glorious lakeside villas.

>To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the little towns, comfortable shoes are a must.

>There are many public drinking-water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless stated otherwise. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle!

>If you are looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and want to enjoy mountain views anyway, Lake Como Greenway is an easy-to-follow trail that doesn\'t require too much walking uphill. It connects the little towns from Colonno to Griante. A bus will take you from Carate Urio to the starting point in Colonno.

>Look for traditional restaurants where you can try local foods such as Lake Como fish dishes.

>In Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly.

>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. There are beaches in other lakeside towns.

Lido di Bellagio and pebbly San Giovanni beach will be waiting for those who wish to travel and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio which lies in the middle of the two Larian branches. Locals and visitors also enjoy travelling to Nesso where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall.

>Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. Be particularly attentive to the weather when hiking, and bring some warm and waterproof clothes with you!

Love corner … Carate Urio

Die Wohnung war sehr hübsch und die Größe für uns völlig ausreichend. Das Bad hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Es war alles sehr sauber. Der Kontakt mit der Agentur hat prima geklappt. Wir würden aber auf Grund der Lage, mit der wirklich sehr schwierigen Parksituation, nicht mehr da Urlaub machen wollen. Wir waren mit unserem kleinen Hund da und auch für ihn war es nicht besonders toll da Gassi zu gehen. Das ist aber unsere persönliche Meinung und wie gesagt, die Unterkunft selber hat locker 5 Sterne verdient.
