The Space:
Welcome to one of the cutest little cottages in Capitola Village! This charming two-bedroom, one-bath beach cottage is located mere steps from downtown Capitola Village’s shops, cafes, restaurants, and sandy beaches.

This cottage has been thoughtfully updated and refreshed while still retaining its charms as one of the original Capitola summer beach cottages.  One bedroom has a queen-sized bed, while the second bedroom has a twin bunk bed, making this a perfect home for a family vacation. Nice open living and dining area, full kitchen with new appliances, quartz countertops, and plenty of room for meal prep.  The bathroom has a shower stall only, there is not a bathtub.

There is a delightful front porch for watching the beachgoers stroll by, and a small rear patio with a barbecue.  Charming vintage touches abound in this home, making it a great place for making memories either as a romantic weekend getaway, or a summer family vacation. One dog is allowed with the payment of a $50 non-refundable pet fee.

Please note: there is street parking only, and no dedicated parking spot. You will be provided with a Village Parking Pass to place on your dashboard.

Capitola is California’s oldest seaside resort town and continues to be a popular spot for those looking for a picturesque, quaint, and relaxing vacation destination. Capitola has a unique charm with its beautiful beaches and historic and colorful architecture, reminiscent of a Mediterranean village. The perfect spot to visit year-round, you will find an idyllic sleepy beach town in the Winter months and a bustling beach destination in the Summer months.

Most of all, it is just fun to walk around and explore our eclectic mix of boutiques and restaurants. You will find unique gift shops, wine-tasting rooms, galleries, apparel shops, surf shops, and more! Relax on the beach or get a little more adventurous and learn to surf or paddleboard during your stay, you can even rent a boat to explore the bay.

Amazing

Perfect little cottage downtown. Beds were so comfortable. Bunks are full size so plenty of room. Very clean and comfortable. Location is amazing literally 1 minute walk to the beach and shops.

Perfect location!

This place was exactly what we needed. We had a week between moving houses and we thought a beach trip would be a perfect vacation. The check-in process was absolutely seamless. The host communicated everything that we needed and the house was exactly as advertised. We walked every day to downtown. You could even see the ice cream store from the front porch. When we take our next beach vacation, it will be solely based on the availability of this house. It was great!

Such a lovely stay!

We loved our 4 night stay at Begonia beach cottage. Seamless communication and check in. The cottage is situated in the best little neighborhood and we liked having so many great restaurants in walking distance. Comfortable accommodations with enough space for our family of 4. The bathroom is smaller and the shower was a bit high pressure, but didn’t bother us. We also took our 11 year old dog with us and enjoyed taking him out in the picturesque neighborhood. We were typically able to find parking right in front, but could see it taking more time when the weather is warmer. This was a great spot for exploring the coast from Santa Cruz to Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back!

Perfect location

Weekend trip with my husband and this cute home had everything we needed for our stay. We would stay again. Appreciated location and walkability. The home was comfortable and equipped for cooking. Host was responsive. The shower was extremely small for my husband. Our stay was short so it was fine.

Perfect location

We planned a last minute trip to Capitola for spring break and were happy to be right in the middle of Capitola in this Begonia Beach Cottage. The cottage is small, but worked well for the 4 of us. My only complaint is the smell of dog urine.

Excellent location.

Excellent location. The house is small, but super close to downtown and the beach. Everything was clean and the host was extremely helpful. My daughter raved about how comfortable her bed was. I would stay here again, except the shower was awful. My daughter and I had to stand on our tippy toes and it was spraying us in the face. So I waited until I got home to shower (luckily we were only there for a couple of nights!) if the shower were fixed, I would stay again. Otherwise probably not. So please fix it so we can stay again!!

Perfect spot to enjoy Capitola

We spent a long weekend here with our two kids, who as usual, were mostly thrilled to sleep in the bunk beds. The cottage was super clean and had everything we needed, from kitchen supplies to beach chairs and board games. The beds were comfy with super clean linens and lots of cozy throw blankets. We don’t live too far away but enjoyed being able to easily walk to the beach and enjoy the shops and restaurants without having to battle for parking. We’d definitely stay again!

Amazing

This beautiful beach cottage was amazing. Very clean. Within walking distance to many restaurants & shops. And let’s not forget…literally steps away from the beach. Very safe. Tight knit community. Will definitely return…

Cute spot by the beaxh

Overall, the property worked well for us. Great location, walk to restaurants, etc. The kitchen is recently remodeled and well equipped. The place is nicely decorated and has a good vibe. A couple minor issues: the recliner was really stained - we ended up just covering it with an extra bedspread, since it grossed us out. The floor in the main bedroom slopes dramatically in one corner, which makes one corner of the bed dip, so that your feet are higher than your head, which is a weird sleeping position. Lastly, the shower is super tiny so I could not bend at all. I’m 6’3” Also the shower valve leaked pretty badly.
