Pet-friendly Home Just One Block From The Delaware Bay

Located just one block from the Delaware Bay, this home offers beautiful sunsets and easy access to beaches that are pet-friendly with no beach tags or parking meters. Enjoy a short walk to the Harpoon's bar and restaurant or a bike ride to the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal. The home sleeps 8-10, with the top floor offering a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a private bathroom, and a private porch. The first floor features four bedrooms with double beds and a smaller private bedroom with a double bed and bathroom. ****Please note: Linens and towels are not included - blankets and pillows are included. The home has 2-zone central air / forced natural gas heat with ceiling fans throughout and a gas fireplace in the family room. First and second-floor decks are perfect for morning coffee. The backyard area is fully fenced in and has a large deck with a paved patio and a large wood-burning fire pit, a propane gas grill, an outdoor table, chairs, umbrella. After a beach-filled day, cool off with an outside shower. A landscaped backyard provides privacy and shading. There are beach chairs, coolers, and a beach cart available to get everything you need to the beach or bay. We have provided you with many of the amenities that you have at home: 3 smart screens, Tv’s, digital cable, high-speed wireless internet, central air, ceiling fans, microwave, air fryer, refrigerator, two coffee makers, 1 Keurig coffee maker, blender, toaster, washer/dryer, and parking for 4 -6 cars.

We had the best experience at this amazing house! We were so close to the beach and ultimately had the best time! The communication between the owner was amazing and he couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating! If we are ever in Cape May again I would 100% stay here again!

Very nice home, close to bay. 6 Adults and 3 kids stayed with our dogs. Nels was very nice about a last minute add on to our trip. The home was clean. the yard was huge. The house has everything you need. Even beach chairs so you don’t have to bring your own. That’s a big plus. We rode .our bikes around the area with very little car traffic Went fishing in the bay.

We had a lovely time during our stay in Cape May. This property was perfect for our 2 families (4 adults and 4 children). The yard was great for the kids to run around in and the location was perfect for visiting the Cape May beach, Washington street, and the boardwalk and water parks. The location to the local beach was fantastic as well. It was so nice being able to stroll just one block down and bring beach chairs and an umbrella (which the host provides). The local beach was quiet and had smaller waves which was great for the kids. Keep in mind that sheets and towels are NOT provided. It does say this in the description, but somehow I missed it, so we showed up unprepared. For those flying in for their holiday (like we did), you will either need to rent your sheets or, we simply went down to the Dollar General down the road and bought cheap sheets and towels for after a shower. Overall, a wonderful stay!

Steps from the Bay

Overall, this property met our needs fairly well. The Bay was a minute walk from our doorstep and Harpoons was about 4 minutes. The large fenced in back yard was perfect for our dog, plus we enjoyed some backyard games and cooked out on the grill. The house was clean and well maintained and provided plenty of space for my whole family - 12 of us. The upstairs master bedroom and bath was huge, while some of the other bedrooms were small. My husband and I chose the bedroom that also acted as sort of a hallway between the main part of the house and the other bedrooms. Not terrible and we didn't mind, but our dog got overly excited each time someone had awoken before us, lol! The host, Nels, was very accommodating and was quick to communicate and get in touch with. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this house!

Priceless Stay & Experience

This is our second stay; the location on the Bay, it is our favorite. Great house, clean, roomy, exceptional amenities. The owner is very friendly and a wonderful communicator. We look forward in booking this location again!

Looking for a great space by the Bay? Here it is!

A very short walk to the beach and a very quick ride to downtown Cape May and shopping at Rio Grande. We had a terrific time staying here. Nels was a great host, always available, and he made sure our stay went smoothly. The dogs jumped at every chance to zoom around the huge back yard and we all enjoyed breakfast on the deck every morning. Bring a sling hammock or two (the trees in the back are perfectly set apart), a couple of GCI folding chairs for the deck, relax and enjoy!

Cousins trip

We had a sisters and cousins Girl's Trip to Cape May. We were very happy to find a nice house with 5 bedrooms to accommodate us. The living space was great for unwinding together at the end of the day. The outdoor area was so large and comfortable! We were happy to be so close to the Bay; some of us can't walk far, but this was a perfect stroll. The Host was very quick to answer any questions.

Great house near bay!

We had a good time at this rental. If you lean out the front deck, you can see the water. If the crickets aren't going crazy, you can hear the waves. It's a large, spacious house (which the kids loved) with a unique floor plan (keep in mind that one of the bedrooms is a walk-through room). The master suite is really nice, it's one of the reasons we chose this location. Plus, the large closed-in yard was great for the kids to run around. There is a drawer of kitchen towels and wash clothes. There's an extra table and some folding chairs in a closet. It has most of the kitchen stuff/gadgets you'll need. The house was clean enough, I'd give it a 8/10. About the only minor annoyance with the house itself, is that you have to walk outside, down a flight of stairs to get into the garage to do your laundry. The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The owner is good with communication. All-in-all, it's worth a repeat and it's understandable why this place is popular!

Unique home a block off the Delaware Bay beach

A great place to stay with plenty of room to spread out. We could walk down to the bay side beach each day and still have time to drive down to Cape May too. Great decks, outdoor shower and much more. Nels even had additional linens and towels available too.

Cape May Getaway

My family truly enjoyed our week at Nels property in Cape May. The location on the bayside was perfect for our one year old grandson and his six year old brother. Quite a change from the surf and higher waves on the ocean side (but we did pop over there for a couple of days). The house is roomy, comfortable and has a pleasant familiarity with a large outdoor deck. Our golden doodle was a little worried about the stairs but that’s because we only have one set in our home. Daisy adjusted nicely after a couple of days and it was a real joy to have our fur baby with us too! Kudos Nels. We will be back!

House was very clean, nicely decorated and spacious for our 3 families. Great backyard with ample shade and play area for small children and our dogs. Neighbors were friendly and helpful with providing information on local attractions.

Best property in North Cape May!!

Nels is an amazing host and his property is AWESOME! Everything was so clean and ready for us to have fun (bbq, fire pit, huge back yard). The neighbors are fun and welcoming without being nosey. The bay is literally 100yrds away. We feel asleep to the sounds of waves crashing. We saw dolphins from our beach every day at sunset. The sunsets are amazing! The beach was never crowded and we took our golden retriever on it every day. Nels answered texts immediately and although we had no issues Im sure he would have handled them if needed. You need to rent this house!!

Weekend getaway

This was the first time my parents have been to Cape May. We had a great weekend, and loved staying here. Everything was clean and described accurately. Nels was very responsive and eager to answer any questions we had. Our dog loved the fenced in yard! Thanks, and we will be back! :)

Great place to stay with teens and pets

Awesome back yard for our dog and lots of space inside for our teens to spread out! Great tv room and kitchen had everything you needed for cooking and baking. Bay is right down the street with great sidewalks for walking and watching sunsets. Bike trails in the nearby preserve were great. Everything about this place made you feel like you were home. Will stay again!

Amazing location and space for our family and dog!

We had a great time. The location is so quiet and in a sweet, friendly neighborhood. We loved how low-key North Cape May is, and the beach (which is just a two minute walk away) was not crowded at all, with great sand. Also walking distance to a good restaurant and bar. For the dog, the huge fenced yard was fantastic for her, and we loved that we could take her to the beach every morning before 11am and after 4pm each day. We always made it a point to go down and watch the incredible sunsets. We highly recommend! Thanks for a very nice stay!

Perfect for family vacation

Our family had a fabulous time and we were so pleased with the location and all of the accommodations. The house and property were very clean and well appointed. The fully fenced yard was perfect for our two dogs. Communication with Nels from initial inquiry through the end of our stay was superb. He was easy to contact and attentive to and prompt with anything we needed. We look forward to returning. Highly recommend!

Wonderful House
