Beach Bums Only relax steps from the private Marina Village Beach. The name says it all. This Cape Charles escape is designed for family and friends to get away. Beach Bums Only is a custom-built home approximately 100 yards from the Chesapeake Bay. Enjoy your beach vacation in the private, gated community of Marina Village East. Enjoy the community pool in New Quarter of Bay Creek while out exploring or enjoy the home's private pool overlooking the community lake. Enjoy the bay sunsets from the front decks or relax out back looking at your own pool, lake, and the Cape Charles lighthouse water tower in the distance.

Beach Bums Only has two bedrooms on the first floor with queen-sized beds and a full hall bath. There is another full bath on the second floor. The main living areas are also on the second floor to capitalize on views. There is a master on the second floor with two full-sized beds and the fourth bedroom has two sets of bunk beds with fulls on the bottom and twins up top. On the third floor, there is only a landing available for guests to spread out a bit. Kids will probably have fun hiding, looking down, and spying on the dining area below.

Spread out and enjoy the custom upgrades indoors or take advantage of the many decks to bum around outside.

As part of the exclusive Bay Creek community, guests have access to a wealth of world-class amenities. Enjoy the Private Golf Club with 27 holes of championship golf, two miles of pristine private beach, and a community center featuring a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a fitness center. Explore over 10 miles of hiking and biking trails within a 365-acre nature preserve or relax on the sand beach. Additional amenities include a Pro Shop and on-site restaurant.

Please note access to the Bay Creek's Life Center, Resort Package is not available, nor included.

Guest Access:
We offer convenient door codes for self-check-in. Chesapeake Properties by Portoro uses convenient keyless entry for self check-in, details provided 2 weeks (or less) prior to arrival by email and text message.

• Early check-ins or late check-outs: If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, in most cases an early arrival option may be available when confirmed with the main office. Late check-outs must be confirmed with main office staff prior to the date of departure.

• While the complimentary resort amenities of the Bay Creek Resort are included, please note the Members Life Center is not available to guests.

- Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately.
- Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival.
- Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
- We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check in or late check out is great, your best option is to book an additional night.
- Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only.
- HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: In the State of Virginia and in Northampton County, all hotel and vacation rental hosts are required to collect hotel tax. We collect these taxes within the booking transaction.
- Some homes offer pools/hot tubs, or access to communal pools. There is no guard around the water features when available. Use at your own risk.
- This is a No Pets property. A daily rate fee of $150.00 will apply for violations and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.
- This is a No Smoking property. Penalty fees for violations will apply and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.

Interaction with Guests:
Our goal is that your vacation exceed your expectations. Chesapeake Properties by Portoro communicates via email and phone. After a booking is confirmed, rental agreement will be emailed to the guest for e-signature. Check-in instructions are sent by email and text message 14 days (or less) prior to arrival date. We offer convenient keyless entry for self-check in. We do typically check in with guests by text 1-2 times during their stays to ensure a 5-star experience and remain available for any questions. We are available to guests 24/7 for any inquiries.

We follow the CDC and Airbnb Recommended Cleaning Guidelines. You can rest assured this property has been completely sanitized prior to check-in.

This house was exactly what we needed. The house was very comfortable and the pool was an added plus. I do wish that there were a few lounge chairs out by the pool as well as a table to eat at on the deck by the grill. All in all, this property was perfect and I would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay. Well equipped kitchen. Would have been even better if there was comfortable furniture in the living room so all adults could have enjoyed being together. Only a couch in the living room so had to use kitchen chairs which are not very comfortable.

This was a beautiful home with lovely views of the bay! Quick ride into the neat town of Cape Charles VA. The whole area is a perfect piece of Americana. Great for families.

It is a lovely property beautiful views!! Nolan was excellent!! Pool needs a little love couldn’t use it for 1.5 days! But all in all nice!!

Overall we had a great week at Beach Bums Only. The house was beautiful, the location was unbeatable and the pool was fantastic. The bar area and beverage refrigerator were great. The home could use additional storage for guests ( dressers needed in several rooms). The kitchen was very well stocked but needed some empty space for guest food storage.

We liked the house and loved the location, but the pool filters didn't seem to be working consistently even after the management company came out to work on them. Also, we would have liked to have at least one cabinet available for storing our food. All the cabinets were full of dishes, etc. Other than that, it was very comfortable and pretty.

The property and location was beautiful. We were there for my daughter's wedding and the only down side was we were not told that the construction equipment would be on the property and that it would be running while we were at the home. It was a little invasive to have people on the property installing grass and running the equipment during our stay but the house was amazing.
