Maintain expectations - it's nice for what it is
Stayed 4 days - this property on paper checks all of the boxes, but could be improved. For us it was fine. The house was cute, and roomy enough for us. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The beds and bedrooms were nicely prepared with plenty of storage space. The upstairs loft was neat space though wasn't used much. Would recommend shades for main entry.
It's near a boat ramp (6) - probably 1/4 mile.
Areas for improvement:
if it were me - I'd build a cover for the small deck and maybe throw some pavers down - the back deck itself is nice but in the heat can't really be used.
The front is similar - firepit with some chairs and some rockers on the porch - if it wasn't so hot we may have used either or both.
Inside - the spiral staircase looks cool in pictures - but is small and hard to navigate - use at own risk - seriously.
The cold water never got cold, the water filter or ice maker on the fridge doesn't work, so bring plenty of bottled water.
The Living room and kitchen get hot. The AC doesn't seem to be able to be controlled...but it stayed somewhat cool for the bedrooms.
Communication with owner was very good.
In Summary, house was fine. It checks the boxes, but to level set is basic, and perhaps a bit dated in style and convenience but in hindsight - I may have spent more and found something ON the lake or with direct lake access. It was nice to come back from activities in the evening - but not someplace I'd just want to stay to relax.
