The Coyote Cabin at Palo Duro

  • The Coyote is a small cabin, approximately 12’ x 12’ on the inside, with a covered front porch and an extended side deck with a view east towards Palo Duro Canyon.

    Designed for just two guests, it offers more open space inside than our other tiny cabin, the Roadrunner. It is furnished with a queen bed, table and chairs, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, sink, microwave, coffeemaker, and an outdoor area with gas grill (we provide the propane). There is a Roku TV. It has a window A/C unit and a panel wall heater.

    Please note: This is one of multiple vacation rentals on our property. While there are other cabins on the property, each rental is separate with no shared spaces.

Fun tiny cabin, would stay again. This site (Coyote Cabin) has three different sitting areas with shade and a nice breeze. Longhorns were fun to watch and came right up to the property line.

Amazing spot for two. I enjoyed my stay and recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed. My wife and I went to Palo Duro canyon which was a short drive from the cabin which was nice as well. We enjoyed the quiet space and time to ourselves.

Great location. Parking in front of cabin was easy. Loved the printed sheets. Only downside were the flies but there was a flyswatter. View is somewhat marred by a rr boxcar. The cabin was well designed, cozy, and well stocked. We recommend it!

This was such a cozy and sweet space to spend a night just outside of Palo Duro Canyon. I will definitely patron again. Great site for family gathering, with grills and corn hole.

Clean property. The host was very easy to communicate with. It definitely was a tiny house, but served it's purpose and we really enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings/nights watching the longhorns and looking at the stars. The only suggestion might be to have 3 bath towels instead of 2, since most women use two towels when they shower. We enjoyed our time!

It was the perfect place for us to be. The view was excellent at sunrise. A few longhorn cattle visited us late one evening. We had our privacy from other guests, too. The cabin was furnished with everything we needed to be comfortable. Very good use of every space! Would highly recommend a stay, especially if you plan to attend the musical “Texas” which is performed down in Palo Duro Canyon in the summer months. Outstanding performance and extra special as the play is celebrating its 60th year of entertainment. And The Sad Monkey Mercantile is located adjacent to the property giving access to groceries and ice and a small cafe for meals if you choose not yo cook.
