Rustic Log Cabin with Pond and Breathtaking View

Peaceful log cabin, perfect for a quiet retreat or outdoor fun all year long. This rustic, yet elegant getaway with a trout pond and unmatched view has direct access to miles of trails through fields and forests on Sugar Creek Preserve making this cabin one of the most charming places in the area. In close proximity to Letchworth and Stony Brook State Parks and thousands of acres of state forest, Rattlesnake Hill Wildlife Management Area, and Swain Ski Resort, this is perfect for outdoor recreation enthusiasts that need a lot of space to explore. Canaseraga (2 miles down the road) has a local market on the weekends, wildlife and taxidermy shop, gas station, small grocery, and a coffe shop/cafe. Sunrise is also perfect as a cozy retreat on a rainy day or snowy winter's night. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen for eating in, propane heat and wood stove, electric, indoor plumbing, full bath, and potable water with excellent Verizon cellular signal. See you soon!

Sunrise Cabin is a full service, all season cabin with propane and wood fire heat, indoor plumbing, a cozy, private getaway with an unmatched view of the surrounding hillsides and access to unlimited outdoor recreational opportunities. Sugar Creek Preserve includes thousands of acres of forests, hills, streams, and farmland in southern Livingston County. The Preserve is dedicated to the protection of the land and the outdoor recreation opportunities that it provides.

Sunrise Cabin is surrounded by thousands of acres of forests and fields and in close proximity to Letchworth and Stony Brook State Parks, the Village of Dansville, Canaseraga, and Swain Ski Slopes. One of the best areas in the western Finger Lakes for the enjoyment of rural life and outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, photography, bird watching and more.

Our family loved our stay. The cottage is beautiful inside and out. We booked due to the location between Letchworth and Stony Brook State Parks for our hiking vacation and were pleasantly surprised to find out there were miles of trails through the forest behind the cabin included with the property. The pond was my youngests son and husband's favorite bonus. Many large mouth bass were caught including the fattest bluegill ever seen.*All were returned back to pond as it's catch and release.I highly recommend Sugarceek cottage.
Toad and frog friends discovered on our hike behind the cabin.
Full moon with a bit of Canadian forest fire haze still remaining.
Picture if driveway entrance. No cabins right is next to you. Truly tucked away.

Awesome place

The cabin was awesome! We saw a ton of wildlife. We saw a baby beaver, a doe and spotted fawns, albino doe, a goose and her babies, plenty of birds and fish.

The Cabin

We had a great time, even though we were a little under the weather. It is such a beautiful place to be even in the winter! Our kids and dog love it a lot! Also, we found our missing Elsa doll from our last stay! So thank you for sleeping her safe! Amelia really appreciated it!

Our second time at the cabin in the winter we plan on coming back again

Had a great time at the property. Just relaxing doing puzzles. Taking a short walk because the weather wasn't that great and just getting away from it all. The cabin is awesome! We plan on coming again in the fall when the foliage is in full bloom

October fall fest

This cabin is just as it appears in the photos. It is clean, well stocked and tastefully decorated. We had no problems and the views are amazing. You do have to drive a bit if you want to do some hiking or other activities- but we didn't mind. It was nice to meet new people. Will stay here again

Sunrise Cabin

The loveliest place we've stayed. The cabin and grounds were beautiful. Everything was spotless and the home was well stocked. We loved that it was so close to Letchworth State Park and Stoney Brook State Park. We also enjoyed horseback riding just up the road at Overland Morgan Horse Farm. We loved the peaceful surroundings and would enjoy coming back again.

Beautiful location

The location was great. The cabin was neat and clean. The view is spectacular. We were surprised that the TV would only work if we had a streaming service and since there was no internet our phone's hotspot had to work to get the streaming. Ours didn't work well enough so no TV. But the location was such that not having a TV wasn't too big a deal since most guests would relax, unwind and "disconnect". The Host was most accommodating and helpful.
