Fantastic stay. The villa was perfect, had everything you needed.I will miss finishing my day with a swim in the pool looking out over the beautiful view.Location was also great for exploring the island, will definitely stay here again if we come to Madeira again.

Amazing Views, Relaxing Stay

Our family had an amazing time in this home in Companario! The pictures did not do the property justice. The views of the ocean and island surrounding us were spectacular! We were situated right at the top of the cliff allowing us to see both sides of the hillside neighborhood, including the beautiful church. We got lucky on our last night and were able to hear the music and celebration from the church along with the nighttime fireworks! The house itself was gorgeous. The hardwood floors and sliding doors in each room made for a wonderful inside/outside living space with quick access from the deck into each bedroom. There was also easy access to the game room and pool levels from the kitchen and living room areas! The location was perfect and gave us long sun filled days to enjoy the pool. Access was gated, with the pool on a separate level, which made it easy to ensure the 2 year old would not be able to sneak into the pool or garden unattended,. This was a huge positive and allowed all adults to relax! The neighborhood is about 20-30 minutes away from Funchal, and even though there are some grocery stores and cafes/restaurants nearby, you need to either take a taxi or rent a car to access it. We wanted a relaxing trip so we didn’t mind needing taxis everywhere, and it worked in our favor because every driver we had was so friendly and helpful and most were able to give us recommendations and even helped arrange private tours for us, so that was a huge win!

clean and good area

We enjoyed the home. Had everything we needed for our stay. Definitely need a car to get around. The safe and quiet neighbourhood and local restaurants were great. The home had an amazing view of the ocean. We recommend this home.

Great property in a perfect location

Casa Gama is a wonderful property in the hillside village of Campanário on the southern coast of Maderia. The 3 levels of patio (including the infinity pool deck) overlook the coast and get the sun from early morning until dusk. The property is cleaned, modern and well provisioned (including AC which was essential on the last couple of days when the temperature soared on Madeira). We were looked after very well by Elvio, who was great at recommendations and checking in with us on if we needed anything. I would recommend the Vista Alegre restaurant, literally a 5 minute walk down the road. The proprietor was very welcoming and the poncha and espetada (especially the barbecue chicken) were phenomenal. A car is a must (I would think this true for any accommodation outside of Funchal anyway), and we were able to easily explore many parts of the island. I would thoroughly recommend Casa Gama.

Great house with amazing views!

The house is exactly as described, very clean, well supplied, cozy and comfortable, in quiet neighborhood, no midnight tourists or loud bar with music. The best part for us was the view, smell and sounds of nature from master bedroom window - we'll miss it. We had a nice time and planning to come back. Advice for the first time guests - you need a car, city bus is there but you'll be tied to its schedule. Also, be prepared for narrow, serpantine roads, the local folks are driving fast but always stops or slowing down on turns, so you'll get the style in few days. Two restaurants, coffee shops and market are very close to the house, and Francesco and Elvio gives great advices where to shop and places to go. This house is big enough for the large family, 6 people can sleep plus many bonuses - game room, pool, hammocks, grilling area, lounge chairs, two full bathrooms and fully stuffed kitchen. Great place, Madeira is very different from any other islands and gets in your heart! Thank you, Elvio and Francesco!

schönes Haus - schöne Lage

Das Haus, besonders die Küche, sind sehr gut ausgestattet. Dennoch gibt es im Februar leider die Einschränkung, dass die Terrasse mit wunderbarem Blick nur selten genutzt werden kann, da es draußen noch zu kalt ist. Schön wäre es deshalb, wenn man den wunderbaren Blick von innen an einem Essplatz trotzdem genießen könnte, denn die Küche hat leider nur den Blick in einen kleinen Innenhof.

Wunderbares Haus mit Top-Ausblick

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der Casa Gama in vollen Zügen genossen. Das Haus ist großzügig und schön eingerichtet. Der beheizte Pool und mehrere Terrassen mit tollem Blick auf Landschaft und Meer vervollständigen das Bild. Auch die zentrale Lage, von der aus man schnell in Funchal ist, aber auch die übrigen Regionen Madeiras gut erreichen kann, hat uns gefallen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Magnifique vacances dans une villa superbe et agréable !

La propriété est très belle, complète au niveau équipements (piscine, salle de jeux, etc.). Le propriétaire et la personne de contact sur place sont très prévenants et à l'écoute mais comme tout est très bien, pas grand chose à demander. Superbes vacances, à refaire et à recommander. Nous avons adoré Madère, les visites (natures, restaurants ou autres), le climat et les habitants. En plus nous avons eu de la chance avec le temps, 15 jours consécutifs de beau temps. Merci Francisco et Elvio.

Wonderful villa with fabulous views

We had a lovely holiday and thoroughly recommend staying in this excellent villa. Everything was exactly as described and better! The communication was great and the house was spotlessly clean. Traumvilla mit Meerblick

Wer sich in diesem Haus nicht wohlfühlen kann, ist selbst schuld. Wir haben hier zwei wundervolle Wochen verbracht. Die Kinder haben die Qual der Wahl zwischen Billard, Kicker, Dart und Pool genossen. Und wir durften uns entscheiden, auf welcher Terrasse wir den traumhaften Blick beim Frühstück, Mittagessen oder Dinner genießen. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt. Es fehlt an nichts. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Traumhaftes Haus mit einem Mangel

Der Aufenthalt war eigentlich perfekt. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und die Übergabe war vorbildlich. Die Aussicht auf das Meer ist genial. Ich würde gerne 5 Sterne geben, allerdings gab es eine negative Sache: Das eine Zimmer hat vermutlich ein Problem mit zu hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit. Das riecht man deutlich, was unangenehm ist. Das ist leider Grund genug, um das Haus nicht mehr zu buchen, wobei mir das nicht leicht fällt.

Huis met veel mogelijkheden

Het is een groot huis dat terrasvormig is gebouwd. Van parkeerplaats naar woning, naar speelruimte en groot terras naar het (infinity) zwembad met wederom een groot terras en vervolgens een tuin lopen allerlei trappen. Het uitzicht over het dal en de oceaan is geweldig. Het huis is van alle moderne gemakken voorzien zoals meerdere Smart TV's en WIFI maar ook een pooltafel en keukenapparatuur. De omgeving kent een goed restaurant en een locale supermarkt en bakker, maar voor grotere inkopen moet je met de auto ca 7 minuten rijden. Er is veel privacy en vrijheid. Prima huis waar je je goed kunt vermaken, maar voor wandelingen en de oceaan moet je de auto pakken . Wij hebben het er prima naar de zin gehad (5 volwassenen)
