I loved this home! So perfect for a get away! Steps from the beach. It was clean! I felt comfortable and safe!! Soooo close to the airport. I felt in the center of the island so it was easy to get around. Came with a rental car that made life soooo easy!! Had everything we needed. Completely recommend and would stay again!!

Second Stay

Very comfortable home. Welcoming, Clean, Stocked and Perfect location on the island. Second stay, and will book again next time on Exuma. Terrell the contact person on the island is great and ask him about renting a car. Thank you for sharing a wonderful place.

Beautiful Home and Location

The rental was in an ideal location, in the middle of the island. Close to prime deli which is our favorite grocery store on the island. The beach in front of the house is beautiful, it does have the most waves of all the beaches we went to . I prefer a calmer beach or bay, but hoopers bay and jolly hall beach are close. We beach hopped most of the time anyway. Terrell responds fast to any needs or questions. We would definitely stay again.

A beautiful, peaceful, and private home, that has all of the amenities you need.There is enough space for two couples or a family of four..Please note, if you want "privacy", it may have to be scheduled because the rooms are next to each other. Not a deal breaker though. The water, electricity, and internet service was impressive. The last night we were there, a storm came theough and knocked out the power; within 5 seconds, the generator kicked in and we fidnt miss a beat.The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed to make our meals at home some days/nights. FYI: There are a few convenient stores close to the house, but they're expensive and have little options. Take the drive to Georgetown and shop at the Matket. Its less expensive and has everything you need.The access to the beach was literally a 2 min walk. And took us straight to the most beautiful beach we have ever seen. It was private but shared with the three other homes nearby. However, we had the entire beach to ourselves for several days.There is a ton to do here! RENT A CAR! And just let Eugene know beforehand. His property manger, Terrelle will have the car waiting for you at the airport! And speaking of Eugene and Terrelle; the most accommodating, respectful, responsive, and overall, a pleasure to coordinate with. The best host and on-site property mgr, we have ever dealt with. Period.Rent a boat at Minn's. And take a full day excursion with Exuma Watersports. Best bang for the buck. We will be back!

Great location & communication

Location was perfect for exploring the island by car. Any issues that arose were handled promptly & to our satisfaction. The island loses power often so having a back up generator was great. Helpful hint, unrelated to the house, bring cash for when power goes out. We were at a restaurant when it happened once & luckily I'd brought cash since credit card system went down. The house may have the luxury of a generator but not all restaurants & businesses do. Hot water at the house was spotty due to a new tankless system, but the owner is working on fixing that. Hint...the outdoor shower had hot water when indoor did not. Owner communicated with me regarding that little issue & caretaker was very helpful & quick to respond to any issues that arose. Keep in mind, it's a remote island so things aren't going to be perfect. Just keep an open mind & positive attitude. Relax & enjoy. Viewing the stars from the balcony was one of my favorites. Saw a shooting star every evening. Another hint, make food a priority, everything closes early & menus are always limited. Beach time is the best time. I can't wait to go back and would 100% stay here again.

Perfect Location

Omg is all that I can say. Me and my best friend went to get away from all the chaos. We definitely made the right choice!! The waters were absolutely amazing and I’ve been to many Caribbean islands. The house was very secluded and just steps from the beach. There was NO ONE on the beach, it was like we had our own private one. Plus we did feel safe being just 2 girls. The house was perfect configuration. AC’s worked wonderful and the beach items were very nice to have. We rented a car for just one day and went to do a bit of exploring and buy groceries and wine. Our intention was just to relax and catch up on book reading. Just know that you will need a car if u want to explore the island. The only thing walkable (safely) was Tim’s bar on beach. Taxis r ridiculous, we took one from the airport to take us 1 mile and charged 25! Also, groceries r outrageous since everything is imported and boat only comes in twice a week. Bread was 8.50! We cooked in and enjoyed the deck each evening or went back to beach to enjoy the solitude. Terrell was great although we didn’t need him except to show us a few things that weren’t working correctly. Nothing major!!Oh, we did go to Jolly beach twice, it is gorgeous as well and just a tad bit calmer.We made a pact that this will be our annual R&R vacation from now on!! We plan on staying at the Highland House too! It was just too perfect!!

A Quiet Place by Jimmy Hill Beach

The house was perfect for the two of us: a little older, more charming and a short walk to beautiful Jimmy Hill beach. A rental car is helpful for the drive to Georgetown and exploring the island. One sad thing is that trash gets left around the island. Enjoyed Tim's (on the beach a half mile away), Shirley's (on the way to Georgetown), the sushi at Exuma Yacht Club in Georgetown and a beachfront bar in Williamstown, Little Exuma.

A Gem !

This is my 3 rd time to Exuma and I love this Moss Town Beach location as it is right off the airport and the half way point in either direction!Eugene was very helpful and friendly, his place was perfect for us— well stocked, spacious, quaint, and private!You will not be disappointed!

Steps to the beach!

Great location, close to the airport, easy to get around when you rent a car. Beach is beautiful, you can hear the waves when you sit on the porch. Quick response with any issues.

Good place at Exuma

The villa has everything a family could need. It's within walking distance to the beach and just a 15-minute drive from George Town. The decor is picturesque yet beach-inspired, and the appliances are new and functional. We really enjoyed our time there!

We felt at home in the house. Communication with host and property manager was very easy and quick. One of the A/C stopped working and it was changed in less than 24 hours! We will be back, for sure!

Perfect spot

The house has everything you need and is in the perfect spot. A super quick walk to the beach and perfect location to be able to go explore either north or south on the island. The house manager was so quick to respond to any needs/questions and he showed up to the house quickly if it was something that needed to be taken care of at the house. Perfect Place

The property was great, had everything we needed. The house made you feel like you were at home on the island. Location was perfect, no matter where you went. We are already talking about coming back next year with our adult daughter and friend. Terrelle made things easy and responded to any concern pronto. Ideal amenities

We loved the property. It was peaceful, quiet, and comfortable. We had no issues with bugs or critters in the dwelling. This is a great place for a couple with a child or two, maybe two couples. The beach is very close and accessible via a path across from the house. We did have a guest in the property across from us come out and stare us down as if we had no right to walk down the edge of the property to access the public beach. Some people! Highly recommend this house for the location as well.

Beautiful home on a beautiful beach close to the airport

Highland House is a wonderful place to stay in Great Exuma. The beach is stunning. First 3 days were at the beach, and the last 3 days were on a boat rental with Minn's Rentals. Terrelle was a great property manager, very good communication throughout. The only (minor) hiccups were a broken laundry dryer for the trip and the bedroom A/C unit broke for the last two nights. Even still, I would book Highland House again!

Perfect spot, Safe, and Comfortable

Stayed in Exuma for a week with my wife and young kids (3 and 6). This house was centrally located so we could drive to either end of the island easily and it was just a short drive away from the grocery stores. Felt incredibly safe in this location and had easy access to a great beach. Really loved our time on the island. The house is really unique and the property manager is incredibly prompt to address any questions you have.

Amazing Vaca at Highland House

Exumas is amazing! Highland House delivered as promised. Very comfortable house to hang out at inside as well as outside. Coffee on deck in morning then 1 minute walk to the most gorgeous beach. Outdoor shower added to the great experience. Terrelle was very responsive to our 2 issues which he resolved. Highland House may just be our best find! Book it you’ll be happy you did.

Was a nice quiet stay at the highland house. Terrell our house manager was more then accommodating with any issues or concerns we had through out the trip. He was a great resource and was always available when we needed him. Exuma is a great island with great people.

Great stay at Highland House

Great property centrally located on a fantastic beach! We had a great time exploring both Great Exuma and Little Exuma. If you’re headed to the island, you have to check out Tropic of Cancer Beach, Hooper Bay, Jolly Hall, Pretty Molly Bay, and Forbes Hill. Rent a boat or book an excursion to explore Stocking Island and the sandbar. So many beautiful beaches to visit, it’s hard to fit them all into one vacation.
