- Hartington village has pubs and cafes where lovely cream teas can be purchased and enjoyed. The High Peak and Tissington Trails are within easy reach with cycle hire. Carsington Water for sailing and watersports is within easy reach. Chatsworth, the medieval Haddon Hall or in contrast Alton Towers Theme Park can all be visited easily. Buxton renowned for its Opera House and Pavilion Gardens is a short drive away. You are also at the gateway to the Dales and the Peak District National Park, the perfect place to enjoy long walks, leisurely bike rides or horse riding in the quiet Derbyshire countryside.
This reverse-level cottage has been lovingly renovated, on entering the ground floor into the hallway this is a handy space to kick of shoes and coats. The downstairs sunny bedroom has a lovely country feel with a double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds both with exposed beams, they provide the perfect place for a lazy lie in. There is a ground floor bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC, don't forget your bubble bath. Moving upstairs to the first floor there is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which provides everything you need for a relaxing stay with wooden floors finished with rugs for a cosy and comfortable feel not forgetting the comfy sofas situated next to the TV, just waiting for you to put your feet up and relax. The kitchen area provides an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment and microwave, the dining area with table and chairs is a good spot for a lazy breakfast planning the day’s activities ahead.
Outside the cottage is a charcoal BBQ and table and chairs perfect for al fresco dining and ideally situated to take in the beautiful surrounding views, also a wonderful spot for a coffee in the morning. There is off-road parking for two cars.
