Million Dollar Views!!! Elevation is 3250'. Our AIR CONDITIONED cabin is called Mt. Mitchell I, has been completely upgraded with hardwood floors and beautiful furnishings.

The kitchen has granite countertops and stainless appliances. There is a full-size stack washer/dryer in the cabin.

Dish TV for all three Smart TVs.

Each bedroom has a private en-suite bathroom. There is a huge deck where you can watch for deer, bears, turkeys, birds and other wildlife. The cabin is located in beautiful Alpine Village, where you can enjoy convenient access to the Clubhouse, swimming pool, fire pit and shuffle board court.

The heated salt water swimming pool is usually open between Memorial Day and Labor Day... weather permitting.

You will enjoy the quiet solitude of our cabin as it is a 30 minute drive to Burnsville and surrounded by the Pisgah National Forest. Visit area towns, craftsmen, wineries or go hiking . Mt. Mitchell State Park is 30 minutes away. We are only 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We also own the cabin next door, so if you need additional accommodations for other family or friends, we may be able to work that out in Mt. Mitchell 2. Plus another cottage called Hemlock 2 is also in Alpine Village. Please inquire.

The Mt. Mitchell hiking trail head starts behind the Clubhouse and goes to the top of Mt. Mitchell a 3400 elevation change. There are many hiking trails in the area, some including waterfalls.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm and Check-out time is 10:00 am.

The Access information will be provided at least 3 days prior to check-in date.

This vacation home is located on a steep mountain ridge and there are hazards relative to staying in a mountain property. By the very booking of this listing, you acknowledge and agree to hold harmless the property owner, property representative or property owner's heirs in perpetuity from the result of any injury, death or incident of any kind by an fault, act or behavior of person or persons and guests thereof lodging or non-guest(s) at this property as a result of this offering or not a result of this offering, including but not limited to acts of God and/or nature.

Utility outages (power, cable, internet, telephone & water) are out of our control. We make every effort for a quick resolve. There are no adjustments or refunds due to outages.

The cottage is NOT available November, December, January, February, March or April. We will accept reservations prior to the first available date each year usually the beginning week of May.

The villa was perfect for our quick stay. Kitchen and house well stocked for dining in and really enjoyed the pool and fire pit just steps away. This is our favorite area in the mountains and to have the top of the ridge to look out either direction was wonderful. We will be back yearly! Brenda was available for any questions and was very accommodating to our requests. Loved laying in bed with the screen door open while the rain set a lovely background noise to my reading time.

Great getaway

Perfect mountain retreat vacation for the family!

From reservation to check in to check out, it was a fantastic experience for the 6 of us (mom, dad, kids and grandparents). The views were spectacular and the location (near Mt. Mitchell) cannot be beaten! We did a lot of hiking (Roaring Fork Falls is a must visit!) and the obligatory trip to Asheville but the best part was the pool right in front of the cottage. The girls loved their twice daily pool visits. Brenda (property manager) was super responsive and stopped by a couple of times to say hi and make sure everything was good. We strongly recommend this cottage and would totally stay here again! Mathura

Mountain getaway

We have family in the area and were looking for a place in Alpine Village to stay for the week. We had stayed in a different condo last year in the same complex that didn’t have AC and smelled musty, so we were somewhat expecting a similar experience this year. This place could not have been farther from that!! The condo was clean and so beautifully decorated. The pictures really don’t even do it justice. Brenda has thought of everything, and it is stocked with every cooking, baking or serving piece you could need. The deck is huge and has an incredible view. We can’t wait to come back next year!

A magnificent view from Mount Mitchell 1

Mount Mitchell 1 Is it warm and cozy two bedroom cabin with a very large deck and extraordinary view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Anyone who stays there will not be disappointed no matter what time of year. We had a wonderful week there.

Great house in a nice community

Very nice house. Actually better than the pictures! Centrally located to great hiking and sightseeing. Town of Burnsville has cute shops and a very good brewery/pizzeria. JJ’s by the golf course serves solid German food. We had a great week and an excellent host in Brenda. Thanks

Best NC mountain cabin ever - can't wait to come back!

We've stayed in several different cabins in the Blue Ridge and Great Smokey Mountains, and this is our absolute favorite! It was very clean, nicely furnished, and ideally located for daily hikes and weekend day-trips to Asheville. Its best feature is the expansive deck with its panoramic views of the mountains. It was great having a washer and dryer and a well-appointed kitchen. The wifi worked well for both working remotely and streaming movies in the evening. Brenda, the property manager, was wonderful - she made sure we had everything we needed, and gave us great tips about nearby hiking trails. We were sorry to leave this wonderful place, but we are hoping to come back again next year!

Great location and view!

Very nice place. Close to the other properties. Great communication with the property manager. Remote and close to the Blue Ridge parkway. Fog was intense a few days. Too bad the club house was closed and we were too late for the pool and outdoor fireplace.

Perfect mountain getaway

This was the perfect cabin for a weekend getaway to the mountains. Easy access to trails, the blue ridge parkway, and beautiful views. Burnsville has great restaurant/grocery options just a quick drive away. Brenda was awesome and easy to communicate with throughout the entire booking process/stay.

Mountain views gorgeous!

Property is as described! Owner very responsive! Property does sit on top of mountain, but road is very easy drive. View from back porch is gorgeous! 2 restaurants close, both were nice, but recommend JJ’s grill on the green, reasonable and tasty!

Beautiful cabin and location

The cabin was clean and inviting and just as pictured. The bedrooms were good size and comfortable each with its own large shower. The deck is spectacular with lovely views and lots of deck furniture. We enjoyed having drinks and eating out there. Even when it rained one day we enjoyed the peace and calm and misty views at the cabin. It was an easy ride to mount Mitchell and the Parkway. Definitely recommend this place.

The perfect summer getaway

The cabin was beautiful, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for our summer vacation. We loved the views from the back porch, and took full advantage of being so close to hiking trails and cute little towns. It was easy to forget about the pandemic in the awe-inspiring wilderness of the Smoky mountains, and enjoy the peacefulness and luscious beauty of the surrounding landscape. Thank you for providing us with a home away from home.
