We loved the place! It was perfect for our family of 13! Four different families! The property was great and swimming area at the lake was perfect for our 5 grandkids! Most likely will plan a future family vacation at Silver Sands!

Family Vacation 2024

This property is beautiful and great for a family vacation or reunion. The large beach front was excellent for everyone to get in and swim! The aquatic playground was fun all! We will stay here again!!

Great stay overall

We love this property, this is the second time we stayed here! Everything was great other then I think he last guests spilled something on the pool table and it was molding. I sent a message to the property manager when we discovered it. (but that is a minor issue that is easily resolved) One of the bathrooms was a little dirty upon arrival (hair int he drain etc.) Other than that this house was perfect for our get together with friends! We will be back again!

Lakeside with large group

Great location on Lake Anna when staying with a large group and needing multiple houses. This is out third year staying here and will continue to be a go to location!

Great Holiday Retreat

We were 4 families, house was large enough, the backyard/waterfront is where we spent most of the time. Its private, its fully stocked with kayaks for adults and children, the lake is gorgeous and calm, cool hammocks to lie in, picnic tables and chairs, and just overall a very nice cool place to hang out. If I would have to criticize, I would say that the technological systems were a bit complicated to figure out, we did not figure out how to use the music system, the HVAC system, the movie theatre, and the ice machine (in the refrigerator) wasnt working. In any case, we focused on the outdoors more than indoors. I would also say there were lots of cob webs all over the property, I dont know what's done about that, I just figured I'd mention it

Outstanding property!

This is a lovely property. The location is wonderful as it it just off the main part of the lake and has a spectacular view of the setting Sun. It has a great secluded yard and beach. You can only see and be seen by one other boat house. The yard is level and affords you the opportunity to play yard games like volleyball and badminton among others. There are lots of water toys and places to dock jetskis. The slide was a big hit as well. The house was great. There was ample space for our family of 14. It is well appointed and very comfortable. Our only complaint is with the property management… the house inside was wonderful however the yard was a mess, trash all over, boats in disarray and dirty towels laying about. This also meant there weren’t the stated amount of beach towels. We were told they couldn’t predict or promise an estimated time to remedy the issues. This is the problem with Vacasa management firm. For the amount we are paying for cleaning these things shouldn’t happen!

Excellent

Our family of 7 adults and 6 teens had a wonderful experience. The extensive shoreline with sandy beach and the water playground plus all of the kayaks was an unexpected winner. The dock / beach area had every amenity including a well stocked refrigerator on the dock and a great fire pit on the sandy beach, which we used several times. The only negative is the number of bathrooms. Too few for 13 people.

Perfect family property

We traveled with 10 adults and 5 kids. The beach area is perfect for toddlers. It has a huge, well stocked sandy area with plenty of chairs, life jackets and kayaks. The area off the dock is perfect for fishing! Every kid caught a few. The sunsets are also gorgeous and there is a fridge out by the dock that came stocked with water. The home is very comfortable and includes everything you might need from pitchers to skillets and more. There are video game systems and Netflix in the theater room if it rains. We had just a couple small issues during our stay and they were fixed immediately by an extremely friendly maintenance crew. That included fully draining and cleaning the hot tub. Silver Sands is an incredible property!

Family reunion

This was the 5th time we have rented a lake house for our reunion and this is the best (Jackie and me, four siblings and spouses and 14 grandchildren) Would like to rent it again in July 2023. I am sending on a separate email with a list of items you should look at.

Unexpected!

The property is as advertised, activities and extras are under promise over deliver! We did not expect the space in this house to be so perfect and it was! We were blown away by all the toys, the docks’ bar and slide and the great house that was filled with games and fun! My sisters would be upset if I did not mention how comfy the beds were too! This place is a gem and the process was so easy! Thank you!!

Amazing COVID Weekend Trip

This property exceeded all expectations of our group!!! Plenty of space inside and outside so we didn’t feel cramped with space. The beach was also full of water toys for our group to enjoy - and we made good use of the water slide too! I’d definitely recommend bringing your own soccer balls since the yard was large enough to play pickup games. The extra kitchen in the basement was perfect for extra drinks along with the mini fridge on the pier! 10/10 would recommend and I’d also recommend you book an extra day so you don’t feel rushed trying to get in all the activities!

Grill

We had a great stay at Silver Sands!! Pretty much everything we needed. Had one issue with the gas grill. Their wasn’t any gas so we did purchase some but we were not able to get the grill to work. The dials were off so we were unable to cook on the grill.

Best vacation home!

Our group consisted of 14 adults and 3 children. This was our long awaited family vacation after all of us having to cancel various vacations this year! It was better than we could have ever imagined! The house was beautiful and spacious! Everyone had plenty of space to spread out! I don’t think there was anything we needed that wasn’t available! (Bring firewood for the fire pit.) Plenty of dishes, kitchen appliances, 2 full kitchens! The deck and patio and dock! Plenty of kayaks, SUPs, a canoe and a hot tub! We all loved the beach and island and for a family that loves music we loved the Sonos outdoor speakers! I could go on and on but I think I hit the highlights! So much though was put into this home and making it a wonderful retreat! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Beautiful location huge house!

We stayed for a weekend and the location is perfect house is HUGE! The beach was beautiful and it was nice to use to use the kayaks! Overall cleanliness wasn't bad but there were some things that could have been cleaned better cob webs on the ceiling and the none of the coffee makers worked which was disappointed we had to use the tea pot they had. A fuse went but when we called we had it fixed promptly. The house is very beautiful and we would definitely be back again! Bring your own coffee maker if you're a coffee drinker!

Lack of communication

We loved this property. We loved our stay. It was not worth the money we paid for the issues we had. Lights burnt out all over house, this rendered the master bathroom unusable. Gas grill did not work, even with full propane tank. Movie theater did not work.
