Located in the Shanandoah valley at the foot of SVU. Private entrance. Great for passing through travelers, Hikers and SVU families. Equipped with baby pack n play, high chair, ironing board, iron and a fully stocked kitchen. Living room has 1 trundle bed that can be turned into 2 twins or 1 king. We can comfortably sleep 4!

Just like family

Megan’s apt was indeed cozy, exceedingly clean & had everything & more that we needed. We have stayed in this area before doing our section hikes on the AT & wish we had known about her place sooner. She is a wonderful host! Even left us fruit, water & snacks-a lovely touch.

Megan was great from start to finish! I booked two separate nights going to and from the beach and the space was perfect. Beds were comfy, super clean, easy to find. Quiet town. Megan was quick to respond to all my messages! Hope to stay again soon!

Excellent Stay!

This was a wonderful stay, in a classic older house, with thoughtful modern touches for a very comfortable experience. The owner, Megan, made the stay extra welcoming by leaving a basket full of high-end goodies like Pellegrino and Unreal chocolates. She lives downstairs and I saw her a few times, she is welcoming and friendly but respects your privacy. I especially loved that I could have my dog stay with me without extra pet fees. My dog is like my child so this was a very nice change from other VRBOs I’ve stayed in. I was in town for an event at Virginia Horse Center for the weekend and had a very busy schedule. The VHC is about 15 minutes away so this was a super convenient location. The perfect place to relax after super busy days! Very comfortable furniture and bed. I hope to stay again next time I’m in town!

Very nice host, cute place to stay

This is a cute upstairs apartment with a very friendly and communicative host. The floors are a little squeaky which we only noticed because we were trying to move around without waking our baby. I didn't notice in the original listing that there is no central A/C but it was okay because it was a relatively cool night and we could open the windows. It was furnished nicely with everything you need to be comfortable and very reasonably priced.

Great Place To Stay

It was great! The property is located upstairs from host family. We were able to check in with them for questions, needs, very friendly and helpful. Place was very clean, comfortable and cozy, plenty of room. Quiet sleep, 5 stars, we'll definitely stay again! Very convenient to Lexington, a few stores and places to eat nearby.

SO close to SVU!

We stayed during a visit to the SVU campus. The location was great - just at the bottom of the campus hill. Everything we needed was in easy distance. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We had comfortable beds for all 4 of us which makes it nicer than a hotel. The kitchen was stocked with pans and basic cooking supplies. Megan was quick to respond to any message and was an excellent host. The place was very clean. The only surprise was the shower - it was a little short and small and tricky to turn on without getting wet but I guess that's what you expect when you get in the shower. Overall an excellent place to stay. I highly recommend it!

Lovely Getaway

Lovely and relaxing apartment

My daughter and I were in town for a horse show. I wanted a quiet respite to get a good night's sleep before traveling the next day. The apartment was perfect. The bed was one of the best I've had while away from home, just really comfy. Everything was clean and neat without being overdone. We really appreciated that we were able to have our dog with us as well, our corgi gives it two paws up.

Our visit to SVU and drive along the Blue Ridge Mountains

We thoroughly enjoyed this cozy apartment bungalow. It was truly a home away from home. Such thoughtful care was put into the comfort of the travelers. The wood planking created a cabin feel while providing a quiet and relaxing stay. The home was very tidy and warmly decorated. All toiletries were supplied, as were additional blankets, pillows and cleaning supplies if needed. Especially nice touches were the scented sachets in the drawers and the snacks on the kitchen table. The location was absolutely perfect to spending time in the Blue Ridge Mountains, in Lexington or at Southern Virginia University. SVU is literally a 5-minute walk away. We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend this place! We look forward to staying there again!

Great host for our short stay in Lexington

The host was great communicating throughout the process of checking in and during our stay. She let us know that the room we were supposed to be renting had some issues so she moved us in the downstairs apartment that was just renovated. It was super nice and had more room than we needed. She went above and beyond with leaving coffee and other snacks for us during our stay. She even went the extra distance to get us ground coffee when the coffee she purchased was just the beans (she did not have the coffee grinder because she does not drink coffee). We were very pleased with the stay and we would definitely come back next year.

Great small town experience

Buena Vista is a quaint small town w/o the commercial influence I expected so close to the BRP. We had barbecue and ice cream at local shops...yum! The apartment was super clean and larger than anticipated... plenty of space for my husband to watch TV in one room and allow me to read in another room.

Great apartment for large families.

We have a large family and this place worked great for us. It is set up really well and was very clean and cozy. Check-in was straightforward and the property manager was kind and great to work with. They reached out multiple times before our arrival with info for our stay and checked in with us during our stay to see if there was anything extra we needed. The beds are very comfortable and the location is great. Would stay here again for sure.

Just adorable

My daughter and I were staying for a tour of SVU. The apartment is adorable! Everything was so clean and my daughter even made the comment that it smelt amazing. There was one small problem and I texted the owner. She got back to me right away and it was fixed while we were on our college tour! She was amazing! Would 100% recommend this place!
