Clean but like some old buildings, plumbing is a challenge. A shower where it was impossible not to spill water on the floor! But the room was clean and comfortable.

Clean and lovely. Hotel is a historic charm. Do not expect corporate hotel, this is VERY old but delightful. The host were extremely helpful and responsive. The cottage was well located for Hay On Wye, it was also well equipped. The only slight negative is the road noise if you aren't used to it.
