    Just 5 miles away from historic Bryson City where you will find the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, an authentic locomotive train that has daily runs through the beautiful Nantahala Gorge with half and full day trips available with lunch or dinner. Also just up the road is the Nantahala Outdoor Center where you and your group can enjoy the thrill of river rafting trips down the Nantahala River.
    Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!

    Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

The property was perfect for our family weekend in Bryson city. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. We had no problems at all from booking to checking out. Everything went real smooth.

Beautiful views!

We loved the property overall! The house was spacious with many amenities. The views were amazing, and the location was very private and quiet. The house was well equipped. Just a couple of notes -- we did have a problem with ants in the kitchen, and there were a couple of maintenance items (knob off drawer in bedroom; breaker in upstairs bathroom; soap dispensers not filled;) But otherwise, it was a great place!

Fantastic Mountain Views

The cabin was cozy and had beautiful mountain views from every window. It has a great fireplace, very comfortable beds, and a lot children’s books and movies and games for the whole family. , the cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. My only recommendation would be

Mountain trip summer vacation

The Property was very clean. The pool table is repaired and hot tub was awesome. The only downfall personally was the obstructed long range views. Really great location from everything.

Great views of the mountains!

Clean with plenty of room. The road up was very steep but doable. The views were beautiful. Hot tub was great. The lower level was a little musty smelling. Overall a great place to stay.

Cute and great cabin. Love the privacy. We had a little issue with no hot water but one of our friend was an expert in that field so it was a quick fix for us. Thank you!

Nice location and nice cabin. We found trash in one of the bedrooms. We found beer cans around the jacuzzi. The grass around the fire pit and the cabin was over grown. The property needs some TLC.

Perfect Getaway

The cabin was perfect. It was very clean and cozy. We arrived late at night and it was very cold outside so it took a long time to get the place heated up because they keep the temperature at 55 in the winter. Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much . It’s close enough to town even though we were at the top of a winding road. Instructions were perfect on how to get there .

We had a blast

The place is on top of a mountain/hill. It gives you a felling of a log house. The main living area was very smaller than what pics showed, but there was another living area in the basement, so we sent all the kids there to play. Lots of board games. Very close to Bryson City and Cherokee. It was well stocked but we ended up taking everything with us, so we did not use any consumables. Overall, we would definitely return in a few years.

Everyone in the office goes above and beyond to make our experience perfect! The rental office is aware of why I only gave 1 star for condition and cleanliness and they were quick to resolve my concerns. We will definitely be renting from Yellow Rose next year! I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property Manager was provided lengthy lists of issues to include hot tub, rodent, door and hopefully the notes telling you what’s wrong with unit taped on walls will be removed. Perhaps next guest will have a clean problem free unit and will not need housekeeping to be on site before unpacking.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have come to Heavens Peak to share our love for it with our new daughter n law and granddaughter. It was just not the same as it has been. Bit run down. There were no tips on the pool sticks and the one that had one there was no chalk form kitchen supplies sparse, and we got bed bugs from the upstairs bed. Just not the same unfortunately. It is truly one of our favorite places to be with our family, but afraid we will have to move on.

Heavens Peak - decent property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Cabin was absolutely beautiful, and we loved being away from town and having our own little slice of paradise. However, the cabin was filthy when we arrived for check in. The floors were covered in a sticky residue throughout the kitchen, there was hair all over the bathroom floors and all of the bedding, cobwebs in all the vaulted corners, the drawers in the kitchen were very gross on the inside, etc. I would fire your housekeeping, as it didnt look like anything more than the bare minimum had been done for a very like time. For the nightly rental rate, we feel like the cabin should have been clean at the minimum. There were also multiple notes in the binder from previous guests about the cleanliness of the cabin and broken things that had not been addressed such as the dishwasher rack on the top being broken.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the amenities in the cabin, as well as the views. Unfortunately, there were ants walking along the living room/kitchen wall our entire stay, and there were clearly maintenance issues. For example, my husband was simply closing the front door and the doorknob came completely undone. I also had the back door curtain rod crash down on me — barely missing my head — when I was simply opening the drapes. My husband had tools in his truck, so he ended up fixing both himself. The back doorknobs were also very finicky to use. They had a note taped above it on how to work it, but it was definitely complicated. Having brought two toddlers along for our family vacation, we were quite concerned that they were going to find something else break and injure them. Other than that, we were pleased with the layout of the cabin, and thoroughly enjoyed the views. The drive up was extremely steep, but worth it overall.
