Looking for a little Southern Hospitality in Southeastern Oklahoma? Southern Honey is a newly built 1789 sq. ft. 2 bedroom, 3.5 bath cabin with a loft for extra sleeping. As you enter the cabin, you will be greeted by a well appointed kitchen complete with a coffee bar and Keurig coffee maker. Have a seat at the bar and enjoy a sweet tea while watching the chef in your group prepare a meal. There is also plenty of seating for everyone around the large dining room table. Just off of the kitchen is a laundry room with a half bath. The open concept allows you to visit with the rest of your party in the living room while enjoying all the features in the state of the art kitchen. Gather around the large TV to watch your favorite program or sit and read in front of the indoor gas fireplace. One of the King Master suites is to the left of the living room with a large walk in shower and the other King Master Suite is to the right of the living room, also hosting a large walk in shower and double sinks. Each bedroom has access to the back deck. Head upstairs to the loft for extra sleeping with a set of triple bunk beds featuring 2 twins over a full and a daybed with a trundle, sleeping an additional 5 guests. There is an attached full bath upstairs and access to the deck on the front of the cabin. Outside, there is a propane grill, gas fireplace, extra seating, a giant Jenga set, and a nice bubbly hot tub for relaxing and unwinding after a long day exploring. Off of the back deck, you can head down the stairs to the pond or sit by the fire pit and roast some marshmallows. Southern Honey would not be complete without a playground for the kiddos! Come to Hochatown and quench your sweet tooth at Southern Honey!!
This cabin is pet friendly. There is a maximum of 2 pets 25 pounds or under each. The pet fee is $50 per pet plus tax.

Beautiful property. VERY clean (much appreciated). 2 masters, 3 full baths and another half bath. THE MOST COMFORTABLE mattress I've ever slept on. Stocked with just about anything you could need.

Great Family Getaway!

This property was fabulous. With 5. Adults, 1 teen, 2 kids, and 1 five month old baby, there was plenty of room and all the necessities we needed. Def a far reach from the camping we did as kids- but with the whole family I wasn’t ready to give up some amenities. The property was very clean inside and out. Great outdoor spaces and furniture- which has been a down side on many properties I’ve stayed at. Loved having laundry and a kitchen (stocked with appliances!) which was amazing because I spent about half the time cooking. Very close to the marina where we slipped our boat for the stay and the property had plenty of space for the boat trailer to stay at since the marina was packed. Close to stores and entertainment and the park while still feeling secluded. A must when traveling with infants and kids who somehow forgot to pack swimsuits. There were some board games, giant jenga, bag toss, etc. to keep the kids off the TV. The hot tub was clean and well kept. Check in and out was so simple and smooth. Communication with the host was great. We cleaned up after ourselves and started some towel laundry for housekeeping but there were no over top check out chores like you see with some properties. Overall, 10/10 on every front. I can’t think of something I would change.

Perfect in every way

Ease of checking in and the amount of information provided prior, during our stay, and before check out, was above exceptional. House was extremely clean, and we felt like we were the very first people to ever stay there. I do think it is new, so some simple things were missing, but not so much that it affected our stay in any way. If you’re planning on staying just know the things you might be used to being present, like salt and pepper, ice, broom, wipes, kitchen towels, etc., are needed. Again, this did not in any way affect our stay, and would definitely stay again. With regard to location, it could not be any better. Very close to center of everything in Hochatown and close to the lake. The roads to get to it are in great shape compared to most roads we’ve had to travel when staying at other cabins. Be prepared, it is tucked in the trees and a little hard to find at night. I’m sure the owners are still working on things and a lighted sign on the street will be helpful for others. Highly recommend and again, definitely will be back!
