Mamá oso - cabaña de parejas

La cabina Mama Bear es parte del grupo de cabañas Bearwoods. Ubicadas en 12 acres que bordean el bosque nacional, estas tres cabañas de 1 habitación disfrutan de un entorno tranquilo y a solo minutos del parque y el lago. Las cabañas se pueden alquilar individualmente o en grupo. Papa Bear y Mama Bear están unidos por un cuarto de servicio compartido que permanece bloqueado cuando se alquila individualmente o se puede dejar desbloqueado si se alquilan juntos.

Mama Bear es ideal para parejas y familias pequeñas que buscan aventura. Por supuesto, no nos oponemos a un pequeño romance y pasar unos días encerrados fuera del mundo, pero Mama Bear llama a aquellos listos para salir y disfrutar de las vistas, sonidos y sabores de Hochatown. 4th of July getaway!

The cabin needs some TLC…broken front window, broken door to the fridge, broken panels on the deck. However….overall it was a beautiful area & the cabin was clean & a quaint place to stay!

Cabin is in a great spot and easy to find. We had no issues during the stay. Only feedback we have is similar to others in that a different tv/mount location is ideal. You can’t see it very well and it’s awkwardly small. Maybe some seasonings or cooking basics too would be nice. Aside from that we loved the cabin.

Hot tub is awesome.

Super relaxing. The hot tub was the star of the show. It was great. Cabin was very clean. Only cons were the way the tv is mounted. You can’t watch it from sitting down. The fridge handle was broke. The cabin is part of a duplex and our neighbors were very loud and extra friendly for us wanting to be alone.

Clean Cabin

Quaint cabin with the bare necessities, comfortable sleeping situation and nice sized bathroom. The kitchen offers required essentials for a quick weekend trip. Close enough to the variety of concessions that Hochatown offers but removed enough to feel simi-secluded. We weren’t there to watch TV, but the viewing situation is subpar. The TV is tiny and mounted at an awkward level/angle for the seating situation. This was a fun trip and I would stay here again.

Property was quiet, clean and easy to access and relaxing. The hot tub was refreshing and the ceiling fan over it was fantastic for cool air movement while enjoying it. Love the saltillio floors as they were cool on the feet. The AC worked very well and held the temperature where set. LOL- might include directions for the tv remote operation. I am not very electronic minded and was never able to get full operation. Overall for a few days get-a-way it was very refreshing and we would consider another trip. Couple of notes: Elec skillet is missing the control, hot plate worked well but one foot is missing and needs to be stabilized. The sink faucet leaks at the base-maintenance should look at it. The bbq worked well but is about time to replace as there are some holes near the bottom where hot coals could escape. The deck is nice but there are a couple of boards that will need replacing soon and a few nails have worked up and could injure small bare feet. None of these comments is to distract from the property but rather information to the owners/caretakers.

Barebones Cabin

This cabin is a great place to stay but comes with a few issues. We booked this specific cabin (there is no shortage of options in broken bow) entirely because of the hot tub. However when we arrived, the hot tub was broken and un-usable. This was incredibly disappointing as it was not stated anywhere before we arrived. When I called the property manager they offered a discount which was nice but doesn’t make up for the disappointment. Also the cabin does not come with many standard essentials you would expect. No salt/pepper or cooking spray or olive oil for pans and stove. Despite having a charcoal grill and a fire pit there was no lighter we could find. I went to the store and bought one that I left at the cabin so hopefully if you decide to stay here there will now be one waiting for you. Overall I would recommend this cabin because the location was great and broken bow is a great place. Just be sure to call and find out if the hot tub is working!

Quick weekend away

Mama Bear met all of our needs. The directions were perfect. There is no extra fluff with this cabin. It has all the necessities close to the attractions. The property is beautiful, with a little stream below that our boys enjoyed exploring. Previous reviews said the hot tub is hit or miss. It was a miss for us. I sent a message before to ask about this, that wasn’t responded to… this was not a deal breaker for us. I recommend you bring extra pillows and some board games, it makes for the perfect place for low key quality time with the family.

Cute but not practical for a family

This property was charming, in the sense that the lot was amazing and the scenery was great. However the cabin was filthy, it appeared it hasn’t been swept or mopped in a long while (lots of dust and particles on my kids feet including tags, old food). We only had a hot plate to cook on and no oven. The cabin needs some updating.
