The communal area is open daily from 6:00am to 9:30pm and features two comfortable sofas, a dining table, board games and a dedicated workstation, with Wi-Fi available. The shared kitchen is well-equipped with two air fryers, a microwave, a fridge, a dishwasher, and a washer-dryer, giving you everything you need to prepare meals, store food, and do laundry during your stay.

As the area is shared between guests, we simply ask that you leave it clean and tidy after use, wipe down surfaces, clean any appliances you've used, and return everything to its place, ready for the next guest.

The open-plan room has so much character and charm, creating a welcoming space to relax after a day exploring Brighton. It features a comfortable standard double bed and a smart flatscreen TV with free Wi-Fi, perfect for unwinding in the evenings. Simply log in with your own Netflix or Prime account and settle in. Also available in this room is a sofa bed for either 2 children or adults to enjoy.
Guests can also make use of a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary bottles of water, sachets of milk alongside a kettle, crockery and cutlery with complimentary teabags and coffee sachets, allowing you to help yourself to a warm drink whenever you fancy. Tucked away in Oriental Place, the Oriental Hotel is more than just a place to stay - it’s a piece of Brighton’s cultural story. Over the decades, this building has quietly witnessed some of the city’s most iconic nightlife moments. During the 1980s, it was home to the Brighton Belle nightclub, a legendary venue that ran from 1984 to 1990 and is fondly remembered as one of the early DJ platforms for Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook), long before global fame followed. In 1991, the venue was reborn as the Beacon Royal Hotel, quickly establishing itself as one of Brighton’s most important and celebrated LGBTQ+ clubs. Under the ownership of Tony Chapman, it became a pioneering and welcoming space, playing a key role in Brighton’s reputation as one of the UK’s most inclusive and vibrant seaside cities.
