Pleasant Pine Cottage @ Moose Pond! Lake Access & Assn Pool!

Enjoy all that the Western Maine Lakes Region has to offer in a nicely appointed cottage home on a wooded lot with seasonal access (Memorial Day to Labor Day) to Knights Hill Association's large private pool (& kiddie pool) and two tennis courts, as well as access to beautiful Moose Pond in Bridgton, Maine. Sleeps 8. Minimum 3 night stay.

Air conditioned via heat pump unit serving two indoor portals, one on each floor, providing cool air on those warm days and warming up the space if there is a really cool Maine night. Large enclosed porch for those warm Summer evenings or even a rainy afternoon.

Open-concept area on main level (kitchen/dining/living room) with skylights and vaulted ceiling, making it a great place for gathering to watch TV or chat about the day’s activities. (Note that the wood stove shown in photos is inoperable for renters per insurance requirements.) Vinyl plank floor throughout the upper level. A Weber gas grill is provided on the back deck for outdoor grilling. Basic YouTube TV is provided on both floors with wall-mounted TV’s.

Enjoy hiking on nearby Pleasant Mountain or Sabbatus Mountain, and the magnificent views of the mountains of Western Maine and the nearby Mt Washington Valley.

Moose Pond is great for kayaking (local rentals available) and fishing, one of Maine's best fishing lakes, If you have a boat, Moose Pond’s public boat ramp is only 1.5 miles from the Cottage.

Downtown Bridgton with its shops, galleries, restaurants and Magic Lantern movie theater is 10 minutes away. During the Summer season, a short drive brings you to several popular music venues (Dragonfly Barn, Denmark Arts Center and Deertrees Theatre) or you can catch a free outdoor concert at Music on Main in downtown Bridgton on some Saturday evenings. If you enjoy a drive-in movie, the Bridgton Twin Drive-In Theater is 15 minutes away. If you enjoy bowling, Saco Valley Sports Center is right off US 302 in Fryeburg (15 minute drive) offers candlepin bowling.

Only 25 minutes to North Conway, NH, the White Mountains and the Mt Washington Valley, one of New England's famous 4-season regions with outlet shopping, micro-breweries and family attractions (Storyland, Kahuna Laguna Indoor Water Park and miniature golf). Portland and the Maine seacoast are just over an hour away. Sebago Lake State Park with its large beach area, a cruise on Long Lake aboard the Songo River Queen paddle-wheeler or a visit to the historic hand-operated Songo Lock are just a short ride easterly down US 302 to Naples.

There are several local golf courses open to the public for your enjoyment. Both Kezar Lakes Golf Club in Lovell, ME and Bridgton Highlands are less than 15 minutes away. (Of note, Kezar Lakes’ quaint clubhouse belies the fact that the front nine was designed by world-renowned course architect, Donald Ross.) Sunday River Country Club, consistently rated as one of the top courses in Maine, is less than an hour away.

Natural Perfection

Incredible vacation home with top notch amenities and a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. We absolutely loved this home, and it was perfect for our family, whose ages spanned from senior to little ones. There were so many thoughtful touches, and all information was meticulously organized. The kind handwritten note on the table symbolized the attention and care put into ensuring we had a great stay.The pool was a blast for our young ones, and the older folks loved relaxing on the back porch, enjoying the shade of the forest. Wonderful stay, thank you for everything—we hope to return!

Great Little Spot

We were planning a visit with friends who live on long lake and decided to stay here with another couple and their kids. On first impression the place is spotless, very clean and organized. Everything and anything you could possibly need or want was available to use in this home from coffee and sugar to paper towels to cleaners, it was amazing, and to see how perfectly neat and organized it was was spectacular!

Perfect Maine Getaway !!!

Pleasant Pine Cottage is an absolute GEM !!!! If you are looking for a cozy warm country cottage in the woods to just relax in ? I highly recommend this property. The weekend started with a handwritten note from the Hosts, some welcome refreshments and snacks. The house has EVERY amenity you will need for your stay, including a grill on the deck, we used a few times. It is beyond CLEAN !!! Mike and Kathy are fantastic hosts, they were both easy to talk to, very quick answering any question we had both before booking and during our stay. We love the Bridgton area and visit Maine 3-4 times a year, and we will certainly book Pleasant Pine Cottage again.

Pleasant stay at Pleasant Pine Cottage

We had a wonderful time at the cottage! It was clean, organized, and comfortable. There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kids. We enjoyed playing board games on the big table in the kitchen. It is also nice that the cottage has 2 floors allowing for some seseparation when needed. The location of the cottage is great! We enjoyed swimming at Moose Pond and visiting North Conway. I would definitely recommend this cottage!

Perfect Maine getaway

We enjoyed our stay in Bridgton. The house is spacious and clean and includes all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The beach and pool were great and we spent many hours relaxing in the sun (and shade!). We’ll definitely be back!

Relaxing Lake Life

Deceivingly spacious property, plenty of space for 1 family- big enough for 2. Nicely decorated, cozy, plenty of places to relax. Lake/pool life during the day, board games at night. Easy to rent kayaks nearby, good cross section of restaurants and town of Bridgton had everything you need.

Wonderful owners and property

This property is clean, cozy, yet very accommodating for a family. Great space from the living room, finished downstairs, to the porch and back deck! It is very well equipped in the kitchen, laundry supplies, and linens and, yes, comfortable beds. Its location is quiet, yet convenient to Bridgton as well as other local communities for local fresh food farm stands and yard sales. All around, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
