Efficient 1963 Vintage mobil home Camp

  • Efficient two bedroom vintage 1963 mobile home with an attached enclosed porch. It's like stepping into a time warp, mostly an original vintage mobile home from 1963. Appointed with some surviving fixtures and furniture. Also includes a separate roofed picnic cookout shelter 20 steps from beautiful Green Pond.
    Located on Green Pond, our cottage offers the best of both worlds: an oasis of peace and quiet that is still within striking distance of Portland, Freeport, the White Mountains and the Maine coast.

    Our ranch-style cottage sleeps up to six people. There are two bedrooms, a full bath with tub/shower, a three season porch with pullout, separate covered picnic deck area overlooking green pond. Our cottage has a well appointed kitchen with a full stove, refrigerator, microwave and other small appliances. There is a dining and living room with views of the pond and great outdoors. We provide a canoe, kayak, shared paddle and rowboat, gas grill for outdoor cooking and everything you'll need for your getaway except food. We do not supply linens (sheets) and towels. We do provide dish towels/clothes and bath mat/rug.

    You can use our cottage as a home base to enjoy maine's blue skies in the summer, peep at spectacular foliage in the fall or ski and snowmobile in the winter.

    We are located on the east shore of green pond in the town of oxford, maine. Our cottage sits in a beautiful pine-wooded setting on the shores of spring-fed green pond. The pond's sandy bottom and clear water are great for swimming, canoeing or fishing. Centrally located one hour from portland, freeport and the white mountains, minutes from the oxford casino, shopping, rock hounding, restaurants and the oxford plains speedway and dragway.

We'll maintained and scenic. Amazingly quiet, even so close to the casino. It was perfect for the relaxing weekend with family.

Fantastic Escape

Though the weather was 50s and raining, my boyfriend and I had an amazing time here! The property is simple and peaceful. We felt at home and safe here. The access to the pond was a great addition and we loved canoeing. Would recommend for anyone looking for a nature escape!

This is a clean, neat, 1970's vintage home. Comfortable beds. Privacy and pretty water view. Its like camping. Low key relaxing. We loved it!

The place was suitable and grounds were gorgeous. The prior people had a dog and left the sofa covered in hair. We would certainly stay there again. ( & bring a lint brush!)

Birthday weekend getaway

We wanted to spend a long weekend away for my birthday in the woods by a lake or pond. This locations was right on the water and very private. The location itself was a lot bigger than the pictures make it look. Everything was clean and the owner of the property responded to us very quickly when we had questions. The water was crystal clear and the picnic area right outside along with the sunroom is where we spent most of our time. 10/10 location and we plan on going back as soon as we can, and for a longer period of time.

Best vacation we could ask for

This was our second time coming to this location. It's becoming a tradition for us. The host is helpful and friendly, the place is peaceful and the water is gorgeous. So happy we got to spend three days swimming and playing with our dog Sunny Girl. She didn't want to get out of the water. Neither did we. I wish we didn't have to leave. 10/10 location and service. Thanks again for having us!

Quiet, no-frills, convenient place to enjoy the Maine lakes

I stayed at this camp while visiting Maine recently for my sister's wedding. Russ was very responsive to my inquiries and helpful with the check-in. The camp was mostly a place to sleep since I was out and about for most of my visit, but it was also nicely stocked with books, games, etc. for people having a longer stay. The outdoor patio and boat access were also nice features. The camp offers beautiful views of a nearby pond and is just around the corner from the Oxford Casino. It's also convenient for visiting nearby attractions like the Speedway, Norway/Paris, etc. This rental is part of the Rowe Family Camps, which has a larger cape available as well if you need more space.

Cozy Weekend Retreat

This is such a cool place! I felt like I went back in time in this vintage style mobile home. The owner was located next door and greeted us upon arrival. My husband and I had a nice relaxing long weekend away from the stresses of life. The view of the pond from the front porch/living room area was great. Extensive dock set up for swimming, boating and fishing. We would have tried the kayaks or canoe if it wasn't so windy. However, I found a really cool nature trail at the end of the road that was gorgeous with the colorful leaves and water on both sides. Very affordable. Highly recommend this place. Beautiful outdoor area!

We really did enjoy the property and used the canoe around the pond as well as the covered porch and grill. We were very glad we did not meet the mouse/mice that have left droppings in with the cookware and in cabinets! Mouse problem set aside, a very clean camp. There was a loose cement step that came free and scraped up my partner even with being careful. Otherwise, we would consider renting this space again!

We booked this while we were going to be in town for a race at Oxford Plains Speedway but they had rescheduled the race due to weather. I messaged Russell to see if it would be available for the later reschedule date, nervous we wouldn't be able to get it and he was more than willing to block it off for those dates for us! We were so excited and it made our planning far more stressful after the unexpected cancellation. He was very quick to respond and very helpful with all my questions. Not only was he a super amazing host but the place was absolutely magical. The love and care to keep this piece of history alive is apparent through every detail and inch of the property!! We had everything we needed and even more, making us want to stay even longer. The location was beautiful and the added bonus of a gorgeous pond created such a peaceful atmosphere that helped us relax to the fullest. It was quiet and well lit with plenty of room to park and hang out. This was the perfect place to stay in a great town with so many options for everyone. We will definitely be returning and have talked about booking for an even longer stay next time! Thank you so much for making this one of our top vacation experiences!!

The place was clean on arrival. Beautiful little pond. Very pet friendly (had our 2 dogs with us). The outdoor lighting of the property was alittle bright at night but otherwise very nice.
