A Dog Lover's Paradise !! Bring your family and furry family members to enjoy this charming 1930's Craftsman completely renovated home near downtown with 3 bedrooms , 2 full bathrooms, a back patio, front and back porches with rocking chairs in a lovely neighborhood with a fully fenced in yard. There are countless flowers blooming in season and trees in the Monarch Butterfly Waystation yard so you can enjoy the birds, hummingbirds, butterflies and wildlife while you grill out on the Weber propane grill . Ample seating to dine al fresco on the back flagstone patio. Inside the home is full of color and happiness. New granite countertops and a sunny, fully stocked kitchen with stainless appliances. This is a 2-story home (1 queen bedroom downstairs, 1 queen & 1 king upstairs) with bamboo floors and tile in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Full laundry facilities with a clean Maytag washer and dryer. The home also has central heat and AC and a water filtration system with filtered water at the kitchen sink. Plush towels and clean linens will be provided for you. Upstairs, there is a bonus kids playroom that has a twin bed in a nook. We do have a pack and play available upon request. Away from the noise of the main highway, but within walking distance of downtown (1/2 mile) and so many delicious restaurants, breweries and cool shops. Then you can come back to "your home away from home" and relax. There is a garage attached to the house for you to use during your stay. There is so much to do in Brevard and the surrounding area! Lots of mountain biking, hiking, state and national forests in the area to choose from. Check out explorebrevard.com for info to make your vacation plans. We have made every effort to make this home comfortable for you and your family. There is a pet fee, but we do allow 3 well behaved dogs of any size to come with you. This is an environmentally conscious rental !!Only non-toxic, unscented, cruelty free cleaners with lavender, lemon and peppermint essential oils used. This home does have a maximum stay of 21 days , but we will entertain requests for longer stays . Let us know if you have any questions ~ our goal is to provide 5 star accommodations for guests traveling with their pets!

Just a really clean and comfy house. The hosts have set it up so nicely. Great location and walkable to downtown. Our dogs enjoyed the backyard watching the birds and squirrels and we enjoyed the rocking chairs!

We had a wonderful stay at this home! It was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect—a cozy and peaceful spot to return to after a day of hiking in Pisgah or walking around downtown. We especially loved spending time in the backyard, surrounded by nature. We saw plenty of birds and even spotted a white squirrel! Highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a place within walking distance to downtown with easy access to both Pisgah and DuPont.

Much needed relaxation

We visited Brevard for the first time with our furbabies a couple weeks ago. The house was perfect for us and the boys loved the fenced in backyard! The fall leaves were beautiful, the town was welcoming and our host was wonderful - even letting us know about local events we could enjoy!

Wonderful House

I can barely find words for how much we loved this house. My father is a retired contractor and he was very impressed with the renovations. (This never happens, by the way.) The whole place was spotless. Everything was cozy and comfortable. The backyard....I don't even have words for how beautiful it was. We travel to Brevard a lot and we will definitely stay here again.

Well appointed property

What a beautiful home and yard! The house is so clean, comfortable and really well stocked. Our dogs had such fun in the fenced back yard and we enjoyed all the blooms; peonies, clematis, wysteria, roses, the list goes on. Geraldine was promptly responsive to questions and we had no problems or concerns. We hope to return to the house. We always enjoy being in Brevard.

Thanksgiving 2023

More than an adequately furnished house for grandparents and son's family of four. Kitchen utensils and large pantry a long with the big frig and easy to use stove made cooking all our meals there enjoyable. Washer and dryer a plus for our longer stay. Pleasantly firm mattresses and plenty of extra bedding if needed. Office area has games and any supplies such as scissors available. We never once said " I wish we had....". For those sleeping at the back of the house the light on the backyard shed might be a problem. Main Street is within a few blocks and walking the neighborhood felt totally small town safe . Those white squirrels caught our attention immediately. Staying at the Lilac House made it easy for us to feel like Locals.

Perfect Location!

This was my second time staying at this amazing Brevard property! The location is awesome…short walk to town, great neighborhood, 10 minutes to Pisgah highway and all that Pisgah has to offer. Blue Ridge Parkway and countless trails and waterfalls to enjoy with the family and pups!! The fenced in back yard is just what we needed for our 2 dogs when we weren’t on the trails or in town. Communication with our host was excellent. Would recommend this property to anyone! Super clean and comfy, great location and super dog friendly. Thank you for another perfect Brevard vacation.

The property was super clean and had everything needed for a relaxing stay. Convenient to downtown, charming back porch with lots of visits from the hummingbirds, and extra care was given to ensure our dog had a good experience. We’ll return for sure!

Cozy home in Brevard

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Geraldine's place. The house was very clean and comfortable. My favorite part may have been the morning coffee and evening glass of wine on the back patio. We will definitely stay here again if back in Brevard!

Can’t Wait to Return!

This property was the perfect location…quick pleasant walk to downtown Brevard. Easy drives to Pisgah, Gorges, DuPont, Blue Ridge Parkway, the Arboretum and Asheville. We were so delighted with everything about the property…it was super clean, had every amenity you could want and an awesome fenced in yard for the pups! Favorite part of our days was starting with coffee on the back porch and ending with a nice beverage on the back porch. The hosts checked in throughout the week and were very responsive. We are coming back!! Thank you so much!

Reunion weekend

My husband and I were in Brevard for my high school reunion. This was the perfect place to stay. We looked for a house that was convenient to town and welcoming to our two fur babies. When we got there we found a jar filled with healthy dog biscuits, water/food bowls and a nice sofa cover. The house itself was beautiful and furnished with everything needed to make your stay comfortable and home-like. The owner communicated several times throughout the weekend to ensure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the covered back porch and fenced in backyard. Very quiet neighborhood that is close to shopping and restaurants!
