    Welcome to The Powder Chalet, a bright and charming 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home located in the heart of historic downtown Breckenridge! This house is a short walk from all the best restaurants, bars and shops in Breckenridge, as well as the Breckenridge Market for any groceries or necessities. It is just a block away from Carter Park for top rated biking and hiking access trails for all of the summer and winter activities Breckenridge has to offer. This home is also steps away from a free shuttle bus that will take you to different spots around town as well as the Gondola.

    The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to entertain friends and family after a long day on the slopes. The dining room has seating for 6 and expansive views of the Peak 8 and Peak 9 ski areas. There is seating for an additional 4 people at the kitchen bar. The living room is cozy and has a large flat screen TV and wood burning fireplace, setting the perfect scene for sports or movie nights after a long day of alpine adventure! Off the side of the living, guests can enjoy an outdoor deck with mountain views.
    Now, here's the exciting addition: your own private hot tub! Soak away the day's excitement while gazing at the starry sky and dreaming about tomorrow's mountain adventures.Located on the lower level, there is a king primary suite with a flat screen TV and ensuite full bath. The second bedroom has a full bed. The third bedroom with a twin-over-queen bunk bed with twin trundle, best suited for children and teens. The second and third bedrooms share a full bathroom on the primary level. Guests have access to the private washer/dryer in the home.

    The property is located in downtown Breckenridge.     Parking Information:
    For a smooth and stress-free stay, please follow all posted signs and parking regulations in Breckenridge, as enforcement is strict. If you need additional parking, the Town of Breckenridge offers paid overnight options in two convenient locations: 1) south of town at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena, and 2) north of town at the Airport Road satellite lot, which also accommodates RVs and trailers.

    Colorado Traction Law:
    From September through May 31, the Colorado Traction Law is in effect for all drivers traveling on I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero as well as US-285 to Breckenridge . This law mandates that vehicles must be equipped with either four-wheel or all-wheel drive and snow-rated or mud + snow tires. Alternatively, vehicles with two-wheel drive must have winter tires, chains, or other traction devices. Ensuring your vehicle is properly equipped is essential for safe winter driving in Colorado. If you’re renting a car, be sure to confirm with your rental company that your vehicle meets these requirements.

    Please be aware that during the winter months, roads and driveways are likely to be snow-covered or icy, making four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) essential for safe travel. We are unable to offer refunds for vehicles that get stuck or require towing, and unfortunately, we cannot assist with towing or vehicle recovery. Additionally, some properties may require 4WD or AWD even during non-winter months due to uneven terrain and dirt roads. Amazing location and layout

The location is perfect - you can walk to almost anything in Breckenridge from here, so going out for dinner, drinks, etc, could not be easier.

Excellent property.

Property is very well-maintained and an excellent location. Everything was delivered as advertised. The hot tub was amazing and the location can’t be beat. Literally blocks away from the main strip of shops and restaurants and less than a 10 minute drive to any of the main ski peaks we would absolutely consider this property again next time

What a beautiful place to stay! The house was perfectly clean and had ample space for all our snow gear and luggage. In walking distance to the slopes and shopping. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with family or friends. The owner was very responsive with any questions we had and gave us great recommendations for the best restaurants in town. Will definitely be making this a yearly booking.

Nice comfortable clean property. Good location to ski transportation and walk to town. Beds were excellent. 2 complaints hot tub was advertised but we were told it was not available for use when we got there and coffee maker does not work correctly. Does not drip causing grinds to get in coffee and water to stay on top. Called complaint in first morning and was told someone would come to fix or replace and nobody came thru out stay.

Great location, missing one major detail.

The house and location were overall great. The one exception, NONE of the bedrooms have blinds. Having a child, blinds are essential for our baby to take daytime naps. Additionally with the close proximity of other houses, it would be nice to at minium have curtains to close. The pictures indicated there were blinds and we were not notified otherwise- disappointed that nothing was in place.

Clean and pretty views

We started the trip worried we didn’t have a reservation because VRBO couldn’t find it. Thank goodness I screenshot the booking and we were able to confirm the reservation through SkyRun. The house was so cute and clean. It had everything we needed to be able to cook a couple meals and also walking distance to so many cute bars/restaurants. The only downside of the house was the water heater. We had to spread our showers out and they couldn’t be too long. Otherwise, no complaints!

Wow, just wow! My recent stay at The Powder Chalet was nothing short of a winter wonderland dream come true. From the moment I arrived until the day I reluctantly checked out, every aspect of my experience was absolutely phenomenal. First and foremost, the location of this ski house is unbeatable. I couldn't believe how close we were to the slopes. Being able to avoid hopping on a bus or finding parking made hitting the pristine powder within minutes a game-changer. No more dealing with long lift lines or commuting to the mountain – it was pure skiing bliss! The breathtaking views from the ski house were simply mesmerizing. Every morning, I'd wake up to a stunning panorama of snow-capped peaks and sun-kissed valleys. I found myself spending hours just gazing out of the large windows, taking in the beauty of nature. Inside the ski house, luxury awaited at every turn. The tastefully furnished living room with a cozy fireplace was the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day on the slopes. The kitchen was equipped with all the amenities I needed, making cooking a breeze. The entertainment room provided endless fun, and I enjoyed watching classic ski movies with friends while snuggling up on plush sofas. The proximity to downtown Breckenridge was an added bonus. Exploring the charming town with its quaint shops, delightful restaurants, and friendly locals was an unforgettable experience. It added a touch of authenticity to the trip, making it more than just a ski vacation. Lastly, the attention to detail and hospitality of the hosts were exceptional. They were always available to assist with any questions and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The cozy ambiance and warm welcome made us feel right at home. In conclusion, my stay at The Powder Chalet was an absolute delight. If you're looking for an enchanting winter escape, this property has it all – an unbeatable location, breathtaking views, luxurious amenities, and a family and pet-friendly atmosphere.
