Crystal Peak Explorer Condo is a beautiful 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom premium condo that’s a perfect retreat for families or groups up to six people. The living area features huge windows with tremendous mountain views; there’s also a cozy patio area just outside. Imagine watching the gondola drift by your window as you enjoy a cappuccino in front of the roaring stone fireplace — you’ll love it! The kitchen is just as nice, with high-end granite counters, stainless steel appliances and all the cookware and accessories you’ll need to keep your group happy and fed. The dining table seats six, so there’s room for everyone to enjoy a fantastic mountain meal. Or cozy up the counter, where’s there’s room for four to enjoy breakfast and snacks.

You’ll also enjoy full access to the pool, hot tubs, spa and bowling alley at the adjacent One Ski Hill Place Resort, making this a vacation experience you’ll remember forever. Other amenities include flat-screen TVs in the living area and both bedrooms, complimentary Wi-Fi, and garage parking for one vehicle. Plus, all Summit Mountain Rentals properties are professionally cleaned and inspected before each arrival and are stocked with hotel-like toiletries and linens. Our helpful staff is also available 24/7 should you need anything.

Location couldn’t be better. The building and common areas are a little outdated. The apartment has everything we need to cook, have family breakfast and dinners. It’s very comfortable and well equipped.

Overall, our experience was pretty good. This condo is in a great location, it’s clean and spacious. I love the covered parking on the cold, snowy days!! We were disappointed the fireplace did not work. We felt the VRBO admin fees/charges were excessive.

Trip to Breck

The place and location were exactly what we were looking for and as described. However, we arrived after 5 so we had to go back to town to get the keys out of a lockbox. Additionally the Sauna the outdoor fireplace, and the hot tubs were not operating, not the fault of the listing owner but disappointing.

Wonderful mountain getaway!

We have stayed at this property twice and love everything about it! The spacious kitchen allows plenty of space to make meals and the unit itself is big enough that everyone can be spread out. We appreciate the added details like having humidifiers in the unit and it had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

THIS IS THE WAY TO VACATION!

We could not have picked a more perfect place/location! Our teen boys wanted to snowboard. Just steps to the gondola that took them to Peak 8-where they picked up all of their gear and took lessons the first day. Easy for them to get to the slopes each day. We really didn’t even need a car. The gondola takes you down to Main Street for food and shopping! My husband and I enjoyed exploring the area and then catching the gondola at other locations to get back to the condo. Our boys loved the full over full bunk bed. Pull-out couch was also appreciated. The gas fireplace was wonderful! We really didn’t need to turn up the heat with it on. We never needed to reach out to management as everything was perfect! This is the 6th time we’ve been to the Breckenridge/Keystone area and each time we think it can’t get any better. This is definitely our favorite! We will be back! Already planning our next trip. Thank you for sharing your amazing vacation home. We couldn’t be more pleased!

Great Property Location and Amenities

Only issue was that our exact unit was directly over the garage door and during the summer the only way to get cool air into the unit was with opening the windows. So during the evenings and mornings we dealt with a suprising amount of road noise, which is exactly what we were hoping to avoid coming to Breck. However, the resort staff and amenities were awesome and we had a great time. You can literally walk right up to the Breck Connect Gondola and get to town easily. Riding the gondola was one of my kids favorite activities during the stay.

Great accommodations

Very nice condo. We did not use the amenities so can’t speak to them. (We have access to pools and hot tubs at Grand Lodge next door so it was super convenient for us to use them while staying at Crystal Peak). Was a bit worried about no AC—but once windows were open it stayed comfortable. We had a great stay.

Excellent ski-in, ski-out, short on amenities

Location: Excellent ski in/ski out location. Ski lockers are on the bottom floor (no boot warmers) right off the elevator. You just have to step into your skis and jump onto the Independence lift. It is an easy 7-minute drive to restaurants, groceries, etc.. Food and grocery deliveries can be made right to your door. Property Amenities: Do not be fooled by the beautiful photos of amenities at One Ski Hill Place, which is NOT next door to Crystal Peak. It is an inconvenient 5-minute drive, or 15-minute walk, down the street. Once there, parking is a problem. The indoor pools are much smaller than the pictures present. The boys did not want to go back. The bowling alley requires reservations. Back at Crystal Peak, the amenities are not great, either. There is no pool and the two hot tubs are ear-piercing due to poorly designed air vents. At least the tubs aren't crowded. The weight room was nicely equipped and clean. Condo: This is a nice unit on the first floor unit, which sits above the underground parking garage. We had no problems with noise at all. This unit is two units down from the elevator, then one level up to the ski lockers, which is very close and quick. The patio and windows face the beautiful mountain range, but not the ski runs or lifts so you cannot watch skiers or gauge the lift lines. The condo is laid out well for space, privacy, and comfort. There are 3 separate thermostats, one in each bedroom and one in the living area. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The master bedding needs a down comforter at this price point, but the bunk room did have them. The bunk beds are full size, not twin, and perfect for older teens. These bedrooms are not back-to-back so they provide a good degree of privacy. There are hand soaps, dishwashing soap, dishwasher and washing machine pods (though it may have been left by a previous guest), paper towels, and one set of toiletries in each bathroom. For reference, the kitchen has a crock pot, blender, drip coffee maker (leftover filters are provided), tea pot, and large closet pantry. There are no “extras” in the condo such as seasonings, cooking oils, games, pens, or movies so bring your own. There is a Roku smart tv so that you can login to all of your streaming accounts, but you cannot connect a Firestick because there is no access behind the mounted tv.

Great Family Rental

Our family enjoyed our stay at Crystal Peak. We've stayed at the resort 3-4 times before and this was the best 2-bedroom we've experienced. Nice view and more space than most. The bunk beds were great for the kids and the condo is a few short steps from the ski locker room (via elevator) that is 40ft from the chairlift. Check-in/out was a bit less convenient at the in-town location, but not a huge deal. Would definitely rent again. Crystal Peak tip: Ski, then hit the hot tub. Take the gondola to town before it closes at 6pm for dinner. Uber back to condo for $10-15.

Perfect Location - Great Condo!

Our family had a wonderful stay and the condo was exceptional! Location can’t be beat - peak 7 was not super crowded and the blue runs were fantastic. Having gondola access right outside plus a covered garage spot made this property super convenient. Would stay here again without a second thought and have already recommended it to a colleague who wants to travel to Breck w/ her family this spring.
