The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. Brampton has plenty of independent shops and eateries to discover, and only 2 miles away, you’ll find Talkin Tarn Country Park, ideal for cycling and walking. Bustling Carlisle is just 10 miles away, where you can delve into the history of the city at the castle or explore the pretty cathedral. There are also plenty of bars, cafes, and restaurants to indulge in some local fare. Walking enthusiasts should head to the historic market town of Alston, 20 miles away and the gateway to the North Pennines National Landscape. From here, you can explore fells and moorland, witness huge skies and tumbling mountain streams, and discover cascading waterfalls.
Set in the grounds of Grade II-listed Garth House, this delightful property is spread across one level and offers a studio-style design. Climb the 12 stone steps to the front door, head inside and be greeted by an enchanting retreat with elevated views inviting you to sit back and relax together. Sink into the lounge space’s soft sofa and flick on the Smart TV to unwind after days of outdoor adventure. When stomachs begin to rumble, find that the sleek corner kitchen boasts everything needed to cook up holiday feasts, to be enjoyed at the cute dining table sitting in the light of the window. After dinner, enjoy a long soak in the stunning free-standing bath set in one corner, then retreat to your super-king-size bed for undistributed slumber. Start the next morning with a rejuvenating rinse in the en-suite shower room with its lavish walk-in shower.
Make full use of the charming outdoor space at the foot of the stone steps leading to the property. This private garden boasts a bubbling hot tub perfect for long nights gazing up at starry skies. Guests can also make use of the private seating area with a charcoal BBQ. An on-site indoor swimming pool welcomes private 1-hour slots each day, while private parking for one car makes coming and going easy. Please note the swimming pool is open all year round and for over four year olds only and the BBQ is available from the 1st April-30th September).
