"The double queen room was very old and outdated. Whatever chemicals they use to clean were so strong it gave me a migraine. The mattresses were AWFUL. By the time we got back from Mount Rushmore, there was no one in the office and the mattresses were so terrible we couldn’t stay. We ended up leaving at 11pm and continued on our trip. Will not be back!"

"Loved the outside seating with a fire pit and balcony seating. Maybe a little more choices for breakfast like homemade cinnamon rolls or coffee cake fruit"

"The hotel was convenient to our conference location and a restaurant was within walking distance. Thr room was nice and clean, however the walls seemed paper thin as you could hear everything. The elevator was broken at the time of our stay but there was staff willing to carry luggage up to our room if we needed. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was available to help keep costs down. Would stay again."

"Surprisingly nice hotel - it would be perfect for people attending events at the monument. They have a very nice pool, breakfast was good and they offered a reception with drinks and popcorn at night including a cultural training from a Lakota gentleman. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The laundry on site was handy and the staff were super helpful as well. The gym is in the basement so we didn’t end up using that and the hot tub jets didn’t work."

"The staff was friendly, room was clean and very quiet surroundings. The lodge has games, puzzles, and a big comfy couch with fireplace to watch TV anytime. It also has a little convenience store in case you forgot something. We would stay there again."

"The food in the small restaurant and bar was very good. We had no hot water at night and it was barely warm by morning when we needed to get to an appointment. I think there should be some money refunded when this happens."

"Place was rundown overall. We booked a no smoking room but the whole hallway smelt like smoke. Old carpets, old bathtubs. Just felt dirty to us."

"Hot tub was broken, the whole pool area was in desperate need of upgrade, maintenance. Short staffed, rude staff. Refused to let us check in early, as we got caught in the rain and were soaking wet. Location was not good. Breakfast was always running out of things. Took all day to get 2 extra towels, asked at 7am. Asked at 3pm. Asked again at 5pm and finally handed me 2 towels."
