The house is completely integrated into the surrounding nature, and from the interior of the house you're able to see stunning landscapes in all directions, such as the sea in front of the house and the mountains that begins in the garden.
You can also witness all the splendor of nature during a bath in the pool that the house has to offer.
The most present sound is the singing of birds by day and crickets at night.

Restful End to Time in Azores

The home has a great view east over rooftops with picturesque sunrises. The swimming pool was very nice and the home is in a quiet area (except for mooing cows in the morning!). Pedro provided good driving instructions and suggestions in advance of our arrival and was responsive to our texting while we were there. The walkway from the parking area up to home is quite steep but worth it for the view as long as guests do not have any walking issues. The main frustration that we had during our stay was the temperamental stovetop cooking range that sometimes worked and sometimes not. Pedro was responsive each of the two times we contacted him about it, sending his assistant to help within 15-20 minutes. On our last full day in the house, he even offered that we could use another of his properties to cook or sleep if we were unable to make do with the erratic range. (Pedro indicated that he intended to look into this after we checked out.) Also, we did not see some of the amenities listed on the Vrbo site for this property (e.g., dish washer, washer/dryer, or billiards/pool table). However, overall it was a good stay.

Ruhige wunderschöne Lage

Das Haus hat einen privaten Parkplatz an der Dorfstraße, von dort aus sind es ca 150 m bergauf zu Fuß. Das Haus selbst liegt sehr ruhig über dem Dorf am Hang, so dass man einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf das Meer gen Osten hat. Die Ausstattung ist wie angegeben, nur die Spülmaschine gibt es nicht. Die beiden SZ haben Klimaanlage, eines hat auch Mückengitter. . Der Pool hat uns nach den Wanderungen prima erfrischt. Er ist vor allem auch für Kinder super zum Plantschen geeignet. Der Vermieter war immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Zur Ankunft stand ein Kistchen mit diversen Leckereien bereit. Darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Außerdem gab es ein Regal mit vielen Weinen, die man (5€) nehmen konnte. Die Nespressokapseln gab es auch bei Pedro. Perfekte Versorgung, alles sehr gepflegt. Die Außenanlagen sind zur Sicherheit Vidroüberwacht, was uns etwas irritiert hat. Insgesamt ein super schönes Haus in bester Lage, um den stillen Osten der Insel zu erwandern oder um zu baden. Über die bestens ausgebaute Straße an der Nordküste ist man in 45 Min in Ponta Delgada. Alles perfekt!

Perfect spot

Amazing house & property; wonderful host. An idyllic stay in Pedreira -- perfect if you want to experience the quiet side of Sao Miguel and spend a lot of time just staring at the ocean. Many beautiful hikes nearby. Pedro is the best: a warm, welcoming, super-responsive host. What is better than picking fresh lemon and peri-peri for your dinner in February?

Wunderbares Domizil mit herrlichem Ausblick, ein bisschen ab vom Schuss

Das Haus ist wundervoll und Pedro ein toller Gastgeber! Die Lage ist hervorragend, mit Blick auf das Meer bei Sonnenaufgang ein Genuss. Der Garten mit Pool ist großzügigst angelegt und man hat seine herrliche Ruhe! Nordeste ist ein wenig abgelegen, aber für uns war das genau das richtige, da wir vorwiegend Ruhe suchten. Auf der Anzeige hier wird angegeben, dass es einen Wäschetrockner und eine Waschmaschine gibt, was aber nicht der Fall ist - allerdings bietet Pedro einen Wäscheservice an (welchen wir aber nicht benötigten). Außerdem wird angezeigt, dass es einen Geschirrspüler gibt, was aber ebenfalls nicht der Fall ist. Für uns allerdings kein Abstrich! Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Incredible home and location in Nordeste

We can’t wait to return! Pedro, Liliana and Olivia were simply the best! The well designed, cozy and comfortable home was a bit hard to find due to our late arrival, but Pedro was responsive by phone and Liliana came to meet us after 11pm! The house was just perfect for our family of 3. The outdoor space was lovely and the views were stunning! We loved the pool as well! The kitchen was well equipped. Loads of personal touches that made our first trip to Sao Miguel memorable in our hearts. Thank you for the welcome treats and wine selection! And the Christmas tree was the cherry on top! Pedro- we adore your home! Please come visit us in CA! Thank you for stopping by so we could meet you in person! Sao Miguel was the best! We miss being there already!

My stay at this house was truly fantastic! It is the most beautiful house I have ever stayed at and Pedro went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. The view from the house is stunning. Sitting on the balcony, you can see the gorgeous ocean and the grounds with many beautiful plants and flowers. The house is well-stocked, artfully decorated, and very comfortable. During the day, we went on beautiful hikes, visited thermal baths, and went to the beach. If you are visiting São Miguel Island, I highly recommend you stay here!

Great location for a great holiday !

We had a great holiday in this cottage, fully consistent with its description. The place is very quiet, the view of the sea is very beautiful, the garden is magnificent, and the swimming pool, although small, is very pleasant. The house is very clean and very well maintained. It is not very wide but more than enough for 2 weeks of vacation for 4 people, and well equipped. The only deviation from the description is the absence of a washing machine, but it was possible to give your clothes to be washed for free. Finally, Pedro and the maintenance ladies very kindly welcomed us, with some local delicacies. They were very available throughout the stay, while remaining very discreet. We highly recommend this cottage. Also note that the location of the cottage at the eastern end of the island is a good choice, because the local environment is one of the wildest and most beautiful on the island, while having quick access to other interesting sites of Sao Miguel (easy circulation by the highway of the north).
