  • This Property has a whole house water filtration system! The "Blue Moon Cottage" at the Blue Moon Inn is a family favorite now and for generations to come. The largest of the rentals at Blue Moon Inn this 3 Bedrooms and 2 baths Cottage is a wonderful getaway for two or may accommodate up to eight guests with its spacious layout.! Note: nightly rate based on 2 person occupancy and additional fees per person apply for more than 2 people.

    The Cottage features Your Own Personal Front Porch complete with Rockers, Shaded by Palms and Cooled by the Breezes from the Famous Apalachicola Bay. The first-floor suite has a queen bed, bath with the original clawfoot soaking tub/shower and antique vanity. Living and Dining areas on the first floor along with a full kitchen. The second floor has a small gathering area with a trundle (2 single beds) One bedroom has a King bed and last bedroom has a Queen bed. The famous "water closet" may be the smallest bath in Apalachicola, but does offer a walk-in shower.
    From the moment you step on to the Front Porch and glance down to the waterfront docks, you can feel the connection with Apalachicola (The local Native word meaning gathering place of 'Friendly People'). The Home has 12 foot Ceilings built with timbers from the famous Bay Cypress in the late 1800's.
    This Wonderful House was the Original Home of the George Family from the turn of the Century (Circa 1900 - 2010).

Charming cottage in downtown Appalachia that has all the needed amenities ready for you. Bonus is that the lovely town has so much to offer within walking distance (or rent a golf cart) from the Cottage. Restaurants, shopping, art galleries and more! Family of 6 (three generations) stayed for a week and will certainly be returning to The Blue Moon/Apalachicola!

We had a great visit in Apalachicola! The house was cute and cozy, and our hostess accommodating. We were in town for a wedding, and the cottage was within walking distance of shops, eateries, entertainment establishments and even the very cool wedding venue. Thanks Beth!

What a lovely cottage (and porch) in the perfect location for our family’s historic downtown Apalachicola wedding! So clean, well equipped and walkable to everywhere we needed to be.I cannot express enough gratitude to the host (Beth), who accommodated our need for early check in and worked with us with generosity and understanding! The cottage was very accessible/accommodating and absolutely LOVED the location. The area was perfect for walking with dogs. Beth was excellent to work with & so friendly. We only wish was that the king bed had been downstairs. We definitely recommend Blue Moon Cottage to anyone that is considering a trip to Apalach.

We loved our three night stay! It was in the perfect location, and the home was very accommodating. The laundry is inconvenient, though. It is only open from 9am to 8pm— during the time when we wanted to be out on the town and not waiting on machines. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and will stay again. We recommend!

Expansive + Great Location

The property is in a great location, and is an easy walk or bike to most of the things to do in Apalachicola. The house is much larger than it appears on the outside, and can comfortably house a larger party like ours. It is very well equipped and stocked, and the host is very communicative. Will definitely look to stay here again next time we're in the area.

Beautiful home!

First time staying at Blue Moon and we will be back! Beautiful home located a few steps from all the restaurants and shops. We highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone wanting to visit the area. Dealing with the owners was easy, prompt and courteous. We were also lucky enough to meet the amazing Rover, the owners four legged baby.

Perfect spot and very unique.

We always come fishing with Dennis Crosby the day after thanksgiving. This is the first time I’ve stayed in this property but I can assure you it won’t be the last!
