The Bungalow @ Elm is located in the heart of Old Town Marblehead, just steps away from everything this town has to offer- beaches, shops, eateries, parks and tons of history. The fully remodeled space exudes charm and character from the moment you arrive. Inside, the house is filled with loads of light and all of the amenities you want for a relaxing vacation. The living area features wide pine wood floors, a full-size sofa and an inviting eating area for two. The kitchen includes white quartz countertops, open shelving and the bedroom houses a queen bed with plenty of closet storage. Step out to the front porch area for a cozy spot to soak in the sun and socialize. All of this plus rare 2 car private off-street parking-don't wait to book.

Please note - there are steps leading from ground level up to the porch, deck, and entry area.

The Bungalow

The negative was, air-conditioning was only in the bedroom. That's not in the ad. Windows are painted shut. Initially we had to open doors to cool the place but once we did we were comfortable. That was the only downside. The place was very clean. The decor was very nice. It's set off the road a little which we liked. It was quiet. We were very comfortable. It's close to Salem which is what we wanted. We would stay definitely stay again.
A little hidden but we liked that.
Have to walk up steps to front door. Not a problem for us.
Very nice outside.
Shower was nice.

A short stay over Thanksgiving

Appreciated the privacy of the location, on the property of an old converted school. The place wasn't completely obvious to me at first but then I recognized it. It was a relaxing place to read, and I slept exceptionally well in that quiet bedroom!

Perfect place for Salem visit!

Overall loved it! Was a little difficult to find, especially at night. Perfect distance to Salem, which was the purpose of our visit. House was clean and homey.

PERFECT!

I surprised my husband with a 40th birthday trip to visit Salem for a long weekend. This little cottage kept popping up on VRBO and since it was just the 2 of us, I figured it would be great. It exceeded our expectations! The home was so quaint, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect. We only did 1 day in Salem and spent the other 3 days falling in love with Marblehead. Book here, you will not be disappointed! We hope to visit again soon ❤️

Awesome!

Loved the location, the size, the cleanliness. Only thing I would change is putting up some solar Lights on the walk. It’s very steep steps and pitch black at night. Would be nice to see the walk way to the steps. Other than that, loved this place!

Cute Bungalow

Great and adorable bungalow. Very close proximity to places in Marblehead head and just a short drive to Salem. Definitely recommend staying here, owner communicated and has a great check in and check out guide

Walk the town like a local.

Location! Parking! Quiet! Clean! What a lovely newly renovated small home in/near the historical district of Mablehead. The ability to walk a few blocks to amazing eateries, coffee shops and grocery stores made our stay so relaxing and “local”. The skylights brighten up the rooms and the screen door invited the ocean breeze in. We’ll be back!

Wonderful Stay!

The Bungalow is very comfortable and in a great location to explore Marblehead by foot. We enjoyed being able to also take day trips to Salem, Concord, Maine, and Boston and having a serene place to return to! Thank you; we had an amazing trip and stay!

Heart of Marblehead

Location was fantastic. Walking distance to Gas House beach, downtown shops, MBTA bus, etc. You don't need a car in Marblehead, but having parking spaces was appreciated! Bungalow is super cute, light and bright. Bed was comfy, kitchen had what I needed. Smart TV, little patio, and Keurig machine...all you need for some downtime R&R. The A/C is only in the bedroom and it was loud and not very good. Old windows seemed painted shut so it was warm in the house. If it hadn't been in the 90s and humid, I wouldn't have even cared. I kept the door open and got enough of a breeze with a fan to make it bearable and spent most of my time out and about, but if you like to chill inside on a hot day, this isn't the place. FYI, stairs to access. Overall, it was perfect for me and plenty big enough for a couple to share. Can't beat the location!
