"Room was clean and breakfast was great. The water from the shower was barely warm and should have more than two towels in the room."

When they finally came to the door they smelled of chemicals and was all over the place and very rude. I would not recommend anyone to stay here very unprofessional and not clear at all lobbies look like it needed a good cleaning and smelled very terrible of chemicals."

"There were a few HVAC issues with the room though the frontdesk and maintenance teams were prompt and courteous. Service was friendly albeit a bit slow as it seemed they may have been a bit understaffed. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable; no significant shortcomings. "

"This hotel opened its restaurant at 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, for breakfast for guests who were booked for a train excursion that boarded at 7 a.m. What excellent service. We talked to other people who had stayed at other local hotels and were told that some hotels did not alter their hours to accommodate this important event (the train ride to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States). Kudos to the Doubletree in Newark, Ohio."
