The inn is in an old historic building, with lots of original character. Fantastic to have parking. Great location, short walk to town. We stayed in the Victory room on the first floor. Very spacious, clean and nice bedding on comfy bed. Shower was nice and hot and good water pressure. Things to know: We had a window AC but no thermostat to control heat (fortunately we had ideal weather). We were next to a restaurant in the building so had to keep curtains closed as people were walking up porch past our window to enter restaurant (fine with us, we weren’t in room a lot, just something to be aware of. Rooms on second floor would be a better option if in room a lot)

We stayed in the Appledore room on the third floor. It had everything we needed and was very clean. The check-in was easy with entry codes emailed prior to. The only caveats were climbing the steep stairs, which could be a problem for some and the restaurant which is below the inn was quite noisy with patrons dining outside until 9:00 pm.

The room was basic and clean. Noisy during the night but we did have the windows open. The check in information and codes were never sent. I had to reach out to them so check in was delayed 20 minutes.

Yes...The room was clean. 1. The floor felt sticky to walk on. 2. There was not any table or place to set other than to hard kitchen chairs with a TV tray stand. 3. It got chilly the 1st night there is no heat to keep you comfortable. 4. NO Tisuses 5. No place to put your luggage 6. No Alarm clock 7. No one to talk to on the property about the area. My wife and I were inn keepers in Freeport Maine for 10 years. I would say that the price of close to $450.00 to stay 2 night for what you get is really not worth it. In my humble opinion this room was worth $75.00 to $100.00 per night.

The inn is conveniently located near restaurants and shops. There is a restaurant on the property as well serving seafood meals and pub food. The only thing we didn’t realize is we had to park across the street down a small incline. We parked there after unloading the car but when we went to park there a 2nd time someone asked us to move. Overall, the inn is clean, quiet and fairly priced for its location.

The room was attractive, spacious, and easy to get into with the room codes. It was also close enough to downtown to walk to many places. The room heater would be my only criticism. It would come on to the desired temperature and shut off once it was reached. The room would then get very cold before it clicked back on and so it was up and down for the entire stay. At times it was distracting.

This is our 2nd trip to Boothbay, first time at The Thistle Inn, we stayed in the Crows Nest, as a family of 4. The room was beautiful, clean, spacious. We loved having a full kitchen and room to spread out. This would even make a great weekend getaway for 2 during the off season. The fireplace makes a nice cozy touch.

Comfortable bed but no elevator

Good, quiet location with parking walking distance to the main part of town. It’s not an Inn with a front desk but we were aware of that. Getting your luggage from the parking lot to an upstairs room could be challenging for some. On the upside, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. I would only recommend for travelers are able to manage stairs with luggage and are just looking for a comfortable place to sleep.
