Description: Located in the beautiful development of Echota, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom main floor (entry level, no stairs) condo is perfect for your next vacation. The beautiful unobstructed view of Grandfather Mountain can be admired from the swivel chairs in the living room, primary bedroom, and the deck areas. This condo is fully furnished with everything you would need for a long retreat or a short weekend getaway. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare everything from snacks to full family meals. The living room is inviting with an electric log fireplace. Curl up, get cozy and read a book, watch TV or take a nap…. the choice is yours! Guests of this unit have access to the deck from the living room or primary bedroom where they can breathe in fresh mountain air while gazing at Grandfather Mountain and listening to the sounds of nature. Enjoy a short mountain getaway to relax or an extended stay and explore all the High Country has to offer. 

Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

Location: This Resort is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University.  If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

This condo was perfect for us. We came to the area to tour Appalachian State and ski Sugar Mtn, and it was located halfway between both. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were comfortable. The view was very pretty.

Last Minute Surprise

We had planned to stay at a friends property. Unfortunately there was a water leak that made that condo uninhabitable. We found this property which only had two bedrooms but we needed 3. We knew it would be right but the condo was so nice and homelike it really didn’t matter! Our weekend was saved, and we would highly recommend this property to anyone going to Grandfather Mountain

Incredible view

This unit offered a incredible view of Grandfather Mountain from the living room, master suite and porch. It was wonderful to relax and enjoy the vista. There are plenty of windows to allow natural light into the unit. The unit is comfortable, spacious and offered ample storage throughout. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds were comfortable enough for us. It should be noted that the fireplace is now a noisy electric insert. We thought it would be a gas fireplace so that was disappointing. This is a second floor unit. It is nice that there are no stairs. However there is a price to pay for that convenience. The owners live upstairs. The floors are thin enough that it sounded like a herd of elephants were at the rodeo. It should be noted that you need a car to drive to the resort clubhouse and pools. The roads are very steep, curvy and do not allow for walking around. We would like to return to Echota however it will only be if we can rent a top floor unit.

Great condo, Resort had potential but was somewhat disappointing

Condo was great and location was excellent. Resort was a little disappointing. Croquet/golf/bocce was overgrown and all the equipment was broken. It was also hard to find and we had walk by a construction site with young kids. Only one outdoor pool for the massive resort so it was way overcrowded with nowhere to sit or swim. Overall enjoyed our stay but if you are excited about the amenities (like we were), you will be disappointed.

Our family of 4 had a great 3 day weekend. The place was very nice and clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend. The kitchen was stocked with anything you need to be able to enjoy your stay if you want to cook meals vs going out to eat. The location was perfectly set between the ski resorts and Boone. We look forward to a visit in the summer to enjoy the summer activities in the area and sit out on the porch admiring the views. Thank you for a great stay!

Absolutely perfect!

We couldn't have been happier with the condo! It was very clean and comfortable for our family. We had everything we needed to cook all of our meals. We enjoyed the games and puzzles as well. We had a great time playing pool in the clubhouse during the very cold weather! We enjoyed the fireplace and the view. We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone and hope to stay there again in the future!

Lovely Unit

We stayed the weekend of December 15th. The unit is beautiful, the decor is cozy and the view is fantastic. The Guerrieris did an excellent job marking how everything works which made the stay even better. Echota resort is perfect for what we need; we enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. It is located within minutes of all the nice restaurants in Banner Elk and Boone as well as Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. We are definitely booking this unit in the future when we go back to Boone.

Great condo with an amazing view!

We have really enjoyed staying at Tom and Rose's echota condo! We have stayed there two years in a row now and will definitely be back next year. We enjoy the fact that the condo has all of the comforts of home and the view of the mountains is amazing. The condo is also very close to all the area attractions.
