The space
Enjoy the refreshing and peaceful mountain surroundings at this charming vacation log cabin perched above the New River. The river is a short stroll away and you can walk across the wooden bridge to the Christmas tree farm on the other side. This year-round cabin has all the conveniences you could ask for, while maintaining a rustic atmosphere with adorable country touches.

Entering on the main level, BearFoot Hideaway strikes you with the vast vaulted pine log walls and cathedral, exposed-beam ceilings and cozy rustic decor.

The comfortable living room has plenty of seating and mountain views through the large windows and doors.

The stone front, wood-burning fireplace will warm and relax you.

Additional amenities include 3 TVs with DirectvStream. In the modern fully-equipped kitchen it is a joy to whip up meals while the family keeps the cook company at the breakfast bar. The cabin has a lovely dining area, adjacent to the wraparound deck with gas grill, outdoor umbrella covered dining table and Adirondack chairs and glider with plenty more comfy seating to sit and enjoy the sounds of the river and drink in the mountain views.
Multiple seating areas in and around the cabin allow you to drink in the beauty of the mountains.
The updated, well furnished master bedroom is on the main level with private access to the bathroom, and laundry room.

The upper level contains 2 bedrooms each with queen beds and private vanities. There is access to the very private bathroom between each bedroom and a loft/sitting area with large picture windows.

Downstairs there is a recreation room with a regulation foosball table and ping-pong table, many games and a full bathroom, and a private bedroom with a twin bed and full-size futon. Rec room also has a pullout sofa.

The sunken hot tub is located on the private lower deck. Outside you will enjoy a gorgeous terraced yard, with stone fire pit for great campfires and gas grill for more conventional outdoor cooking.

Located in the gated River Ridge development of Boone, great fishing, canoeing, and tubing are just a few minutes away. Also just 10 minutes from ASU, Boone shopping and dining. 10 minutes from Historic Todd and the Todd General Store. Less than 20 minutes to Tweetsie Railroad, Main Street Blowing Rock and Appalachian Ski Resort. 30 minutes or less to Grandfather Mountain, Hawksnest Ski Resort, and Sugar Mountain. 35 minutes to Ski Beech.
