  • Perched in the heart of Seven Devils, Grandfather Lookout is a beautifully appointed mountain retreat offering breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain, spacious gathering areas, and entertainment for the whole family. With four sleeping areas, three and a half bathrooms, and room for up to ten guests, this home is ideal for family vacations, couples traveling together, or a relaxing getaway with friends.

    The main level welcomes you with soaring tongue-and-groove ceilings, warm hardwood floors, and a dramatic floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. Walls of windows frame the surrounding mountain scenery, creating a bright and inviting space to gather. The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, custom cabinetry, and an island with additional seating, while the dining table comfortably seats eight for shared meals.

    Designed with entertainment in mind, the loft game room features a pool table, shuffleboard table, and card table, making it the perfect place for friendly competition. Downstairs, a second recreation room offers comfortable seating, a large TV, wet bar, and wine refrigerator for movie nights or relaxing after a day of exploring the High Country.

The view was gorgeous I could have sat on that porch drinking my coffee all day long. The house was everything that was advertised we love the game room first time most of our family had ever gotten to play pool so that was a lot of fun. Our family enjoyed the hot tub morning afternoon and night thank you for a wonderful experience.

Beautiful property, breathtaking views, and the listing was accurate. Banner Elk is close with the necessities and some good restaurants. Stone Walls was our favorite, food was amazing. The host was very responsive to our questions and helpful. Overall great stay and we’d definitely book again.

Home had breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain. It was cozy and provided closeness yet big enough we werent trampling on one another. The kitchen was fully stocked - making it ideal to cook our meals in. Our family started a new Christmas tradition this year and are looking forward to staying with you next year.

We had a great time. We pick a place yearly before school starts and this year was grandfather lookout. Love the house and the area, and loved that the driveway was paved all the way to the house, it made it a lot easier to get to.

Wonderful Stay

Graduation weekend

We had a wonderful gathering of family for our daughter’s graduation. This property is great. Beautiful views, comfortable spaces for everyone, well stocked kitchen. It was wonderful! Highly recommend. Owners were responsive and excellent to work with.

Great vacation home

Fabulous house to spend a little vacation time in. Not sure how you get people to ever leave. Very lovely place and it was a great place to celebrate my son’s graduation from App State in nearby Boone.

Great weekend getaway!

We stayed with friends and loved the property! Very clean and well maintained. Kids LOVED the hot tub. Also 10 mins from Hawksnest where we went tubing. We had a blast!

The view from the living room glass doors is totally memorable. The cabin was very clean and management very responsive. The kitchen faucet needs attention immediately. overall the stay was great and would rent again.

The home was spacious and lovely. We especially enjoyed the covered deck with comfortable furnishings. The beds were comfortable and the light switches were conveniently labeled. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, but did not provide staples such as sugar. No laundry soap, softener, or tissues were provided and these would have been appreciated.
