Welcome to Condo at Pinnacle Inn Resort!

This condo is a top-level unit with fantastic mountain-top views and ski slope views during the ski season. You are near the ski slopes, ice skating rink, snow tubing, and sledding hill from the condo. The Pinnacle Inn Resort provides amenities that our guests are welcome to use. The indoor swimming pool and hot tub are heated and open year-round. The All Seasons Indoor Pool facility has a fitness room, wet and dry saunas, a pool table, a ping pong table, and a cornhole game. On the grounds, you will find numerous picnic areas, decks, gazebos with picnic tables and grills, tennis courts, a putt-putt course, a basketball court, shuffleboard, walking/biking trails, and more.

The condo is on the top level, the 3rd floor, which provides the best views. You do have to take the stairs, so please be sure your group can make it up two (2) flights of steps. The unit is one level and has a king master suite with an HD Smart TV and an ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower. The second bedroom has two twin beds and an HD Smart TV. A central hallway bathroom with a tub and shower and a laundry closet with a stacked washer and dryer serves the guests. The full kitchen features a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven and cooktop, microwave, and coffee maker. The kitchen is open to the great room, with a dining area with a 4-seat dining table, and the living area features a new sofa that provides a full-size sleeper, a wood-burning fireplace, a large HD Smart TV, and other comfy seating.

The Condo at Pinnacle Inn Resort is a wonderful place for year-round fun. There is no central AC in any of the units at Pinnacle Inn Resort. It sleeps up to 5 guests, is centrally heated, and with cool mountain-top cross-breezes at almost 5,000 feet in elevation, you won't miss the AC. Pinnacle Inn Resort has all the amenities mentioned before, and Beech Mountain provides much more during the ski season and year-round. Breathtaking mountain views, hiking/biking/walking trails, ponds/creeks/streams for fishing and playing, concerts and other events throughout the year, and the Land of Oz when open.

Beech Mountain is also conveniently close to downtown Banner Elk (less than 4 miles), Grandfather Mountain (about 10 miles), Sugar Mountain Resort (about 8 miles), Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zip Lines (about 15 miles), the village of Valle Crucis (about 12 miles), Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mtn (each about 25 miles), and both Boone & Blowing Rock (each about 22 miles).

***NO Air Conditioning - at nearly 5,000 feet in elevation, where the temperatures rarely get above the mid-70s in the summer months, it is rarely needed!

*** Third-floor unit - there is no elevator. Guests must scale two levels of stairs.

Close to Beech Mountain, but outdated and uncomfortable furniture.

Property is super close to Beech Mountain - less than 5 min rive(the main reason we booked). Also, the pool is nice (heated) and has a very small hot tub. Furniture inside the condo is very uncomfortable - nearly broken couch that leaned forward was terrible to sit on. And the two other leather chairs were not comfortable either. Appliances are all extremely dated, although funcational. Condo wasn't super clean - looks like furniture is never cleaned behind and just spot cleaned the condo. For the price, it was tolerable, but likely wouldn't stay at this specific condo again.

Great location, place could use some work/updates

Great location, although not as close to the ski resort as we envisioned, we enjoyed our stay however the specific condo we stayed in had a few issues. Light bulb burned out in master bath when we arrived, closet door broken, mattress on a closet making it unusable, and no extra towels, it was the bare minimum for supplies for a vrbo

Comfortable and clean

We were very impressed with the spaciousness of the condo. It is larger than the pictures indicate with a long entry hall and plenty of room for 4. The beds were very comfortable with good linens. Great view of Beech Mountain and a very short drive to bike the slopes. Pathway from property into the small town for a stop at the market. Pool and hot tub were clean and very welcome after riding. Only thing we didn’t have were coffee filters. Had to make do with paper towels. Also helpful to know you need to bring your own swim towel for the pool. We are already thinking of returning next year!

Clean, convenient, peaceful. Very One tip: Because it's a big complex, a map would have been helpful. Arriving late at night when it was dark and we were tired, we groped around in the maze of parking lots and buildings, searching for our unit.

Summer Vacation Stay

Overall was satisfied with the accomodation especially given I didnt book it until a week prior to our visit. Positives: Nice balcony view. Convenient location to the places we wanted to go (Boone, Blowing Rock, Linville, Grandfather Mtn, etc). Had amenities on site that kept my kids entertained - Pool, hot tub, pool table, cornhole, ping pong, putt putt, basketball, tennis. Also had rokus setup in the living room and bedrooms. Negatives: The resort could use a little updating. The couch in the living room is quite uncomfortable. While it didnt affect us, the room is on the 3rd floor with no elevator, so may be something to keep in mind for someone with mobility issues. The only real "issue" we had was that our 1st day there, there was no water. Not sure if it was a resort issue or a Town/Utilities issue, but the trouble was compensated for as the fee for our 1st night stay was deducted off of the bill. Overall good place to stay for the price point, especially if you have younger kids that are always wanting to be doing something as the resort has several things that can be done on site that involve actively moving and not just sitting in front of a screen. Only suggestions for the owner would be to maybe get a new couch and a few putters/golf balls so that if someone wants to play putt putt they done have to worry about going through the front office.
