Quite country home on 7 acres, enjoy a peaceful walk around our beautiful pond, very private in ground pool, make Smore's at the large fire pit, there's a paddleboat for a ride around the pond, feed our fish, rock in the rocker on the large back porch, play corn hole, Pac man and Street arcade games, it's a quick 8 mile drive to Oak Island and the Atlantic Ocean . 1 hour to Myrtle Beach 10 minutes to downtown Southport and 25 minutes to Wilmington. You will never get bored, fun for the whole family.

This house really was incredible!! The hosts really had "family" in mind. We did not want to leave!! Everyone had their own space, and with the pond and the pool, and the teen room...it was perfect! My kids actually went outside and played volleyball and cornhole. I wish I could type more and give more stars! We were gifted fresh eggs and everything you'd need for smores. Great people with great hearts. Thank you again for a magical time!!! Can't wait to do it again!!

Awesome stay!

Pictures do not do the property justice! We fell in love with this property. We did not want to leave. We loved the pool and the games and the pond. It was beautiful and spacious and has 2.5 bathrooms. We really hope to come back next year!

Hidden Paradise

Overall everything from the house to the grounds was great. Having access to a pool with little ones was a great feature because that is where we spent majority of our time. The owners live next door but never bothered you and were very inviting to see their little farm they have if you wanted to. The game room kept the kids busy and they never ran out of adventure. We always had hot water for showers and dishes even with a family of 10. The only thing we did notice was the sediment that comes out of the water mainly in the showers and tubs but also when doing our laundry some of our clothes ended up with rust stains on them which are now permanently colored brown. I would say they should look into a water system to avoid that happening for future renters but that is the only complaint I could have. Overall we had a wonderful time and couldn’t have asked for a better secluded place to stay.

What an amazing place!

My family fell in love with this house and property! It is quiet and peaceful, the pool is clean and warm and the pond was a lot of fun. We loved all of the wildlife that would wander through and the owners (next door) have animals that we would visit. The owners left fresh eggs and the fixins' for smores upon arrival! The distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping is not far so we really feel like you get the best of all worlds when you stay here. The owners were incredibly friendly, helpful and respectful of our time there. They didn't intrude on our family time, unless we initiated conversation first, which we did often because they were so pleasant. Hoping to make it back again soon!

Great trip!

Fantastic property and stay! We loved the pool, video games and lake! They had everything we needed and the owners were very welcoming yet respected privacy! Not too far from the beach which the kids loved. Comfortable beds, tvs in each room and plenty of seating for all ten of us! If we come back to the area we will for sure stay here again!

The Perfect Getaway

Up on arrival we were happy about the privacy of not having any neighbors. Yes the owners live across from the vacation home, they were very friendly and respectful and gave us privacy the whole time. They even gave us a Welcome Basket to make smores and popcorn by the firepit in the back yard which is absolutely set-up nicely. Also they gave us fresh eggs for breakfast. We were absolutely amazed at the inside of the house it was beautiful, lots of space and privacy if needed, and the rental was very clean and beautifully decorated. The kids and adult kids loved all the games all week plus the pool & pond in the back yard. The pool was always clean and maintained, the pond was so fun watching the kids on the peddle boat and kayaks. We loved all the animals especially the turkey's and listening to them gobble. To sum the vacation up I would say its one of the best ever. Thank you very much for being great host!

Beautiful!

This property was exactly as described! It was the cleanest house we have ever rented. The house is very spacious. The pond, pool and fire pit were so much fun! We didn’t want to leave! Will definitely rent again! Thanks Mike for being such a great host!

Phenomenal

Absolutely Amazing place. Beds are extremely comfortable, best vacation our family has ever had. Enough room for everyone and we had 10 people. Looking forward to next year. Loved the tranquility of it all. All of the restaurants we went to were top notch. Did not have anything but a great time all around. Well priced for the amenities, it is worth every penny and then some.

Wonderful Repeat Experience!

This was the second time that our family stayed at this property, and it was as great an experience this time as we had the first! Great place for all ages

There is something for everyone here. Kayaking on large pond, swimming, swing set, fire pit, corn hole, video games, air hockey and more. The kitchen is well stocked and there were even a few 'extras' to welcome us. The owner, Mike, lives next door but does not intrude. He is easily reached by text. For those who want to go to the beach, it is a short drive and Mike has chairs, beach toy and towels that can be used. My group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mike's Marshmellow Farm.

Country Living With aTwist

This place was amazing. It had a short drive to several local beaches and enough to do you would never have to leave the place itself. It was extremely clean, completely stocked full of everything you might need and the owners were so kind and thoughtful. Upon arrival, we found a welcome basket of fresh eggs and s’mores stuff on the counter. It was the most welcomed we have EVER felt anywhere. It was so quiet and peaceful. Check this place out. You will not regret it!

Unbelievable relaxing vacation

We all enjoyed this place and would recommend it to anyone wanting a safe quiet vacation and close to beach , Mike and Terri was very nice and it was a pleasure to be a guest there.They respecting our privacy and if needed was right there or a phone call away. There pool was nice there pond was nice, paddle boats was fun , firepit was great very spacious place, the home was very clean and very nice .We loved it alot and would not hesitate to go back . Can't say enough about this place was everything we wanted and more.

Great place if you don't mind being watched.

We loved the house and the pool and pond but we did not know the owners lived right next door and would constantly watch us and even would ho check the pool every time we went in it. We would not have got this place because it felt like you we're watch 24/7 even the pool and pond had camera's.

Had a great stay at a beautiful piece of property

House and surrounding property was beautiful and very clean. kids loved the pool and the pond. where you can feed the fish and ride the paddle boat and canoes. we also played corn hole and cooked out on the grill. would definitely recommend

Amazing Stay!!

Thanks to Mike for working so hard to give us such a wonderful stay. Can’t say enough good things about this property. Kids enjoyed kayaking, tubing and swimming in the pond and the swimming pool. House was equipped with everything we needed including lots of goodies for the kids. Loved our time out by the fire pit enjoying the peace and quiet as well as all the wildlife in the area. Kids couldn’t get enough of feeding the fish and Mike always made sure there was food to feed them. Mike was easily accessible if we needed anything but house was perfect. Close to beaches and attractions. Loved our stay and will hopefully be back next summer.

MarshnMellow is a Gem

Mike (owner) is very personable and welcomed us as we arrived! House was very neat and clean. There are some many things to do at the the house that you don't even have to leave to have a great time. Kids loved the pool and air hockey, adults and teen loved the kayaks! The owners have everything you need there for you even chairs to take to the beach. We enjoyed fireworks on the Oak Island Pier for the 4th!!! Our entire family had a great time. Very relaxing and out of the way of the hustle and bustle but close to the beaches and grocery stores, perfect for us! (SE 46th Street is the best public beach access-Oak Island, has free mini water park also)

Relaxing Stay at MarshnMellow Farm

Property is as advertised. House is well kept. Nice pool area and pond. Had a fun time watching the ducks and also watching for wildlife. Owner is quick to respond to any needs. Wilmington and Myrtle Beach both within 1 hour driving distance. Would definitely stay again!

This place was amazing! The pool was nice and warm, the beaches beautiful, and the sites were just what we wanted. Staying in the country was a nice change of pace for us. Loved the house and the amenities!! Will stay again!!!

Excellent place to enjoy a vacation

Enjoyed the place. The place was clean and as described. Property manager is great to deal with. This is a fun place to stay and enjoy a vacation. I Would recommend this to anyone young to older.

Amazing Vacation!

My daughters repeated said this was their favorite vacation ever! We never wanted to leave and will definitely be booking again! Mr Mike thought of everything and went the extra mile to make this trip fun for our whole family! 5 Stars!
