Situated on the shore of Cherry Lake, this charming cabin is ideal for a fun-filled family vacation in North Georgia. The open floor plan makes it easy for everyone to spend time together, while the wood-burning fireplace in the living area keeps the whole place warm and toasty. This home also includes a full kitchen plus an adjacent dining area where you can tuck into home-cooked meals or play a few board games. Outside, relax in comfort inside the screened-in porch, soak away your cares in your private hot tub, or meet up by the lakeside firepit and watch the stars come out overhead.

What's nearby:
Cast a line or swim off your private dock, kayak or canoes on calm water, or hop on the Benton MacKaye Trail and head out on a magical mountain hike! When it's time to do some shopping or you find yourself craving some good, old-fashioned Southern cooking, take a trip into downtown Blue Ridge, just a little over six miles up the road, where you'll also find plenty of attractions including the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, Blue Ridge Adventure Park, and the historic Swan Drive-In movie theater.

The cabin was amazing! Would definitely stay again. The road to the cabin was a bit rough towards the end but nothing too crazy. Would love to see more "fairie lights" or ambiance lighting as it was a bit too dark at night but overall a lovely stay

We enjoyed staying at this cabin! It was just as described. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. We enjoyed fishing from the dock or just enjoying the beautiful lake view while sitting on the swing. The screened in porch was also very enjoyable. We liked the location between Ellijay & Blue Ridge. We especially liked Southern Charm restaurant in Blue Ridge.

Heaven on Earth

The drive in is amazing, getting in the cabin was a breeze, the cabin itself was nice and clean. Decorated extremely well and made you feel at home. The only issue was the stove, seemed new, but was improperly installed, never changed over to LP from the natural gas setup it comes with, the manager was made aware and promised to have it fixed, it's dangerous otherwise and can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. They did discount our stay out of not being able to use the stove/oven. The hot tub was partially functional as well. Everything else went great, there's definitely fish in the lake. There's a ton of steep stairs, so plan accordingly if you have bad knees. All in all, we will most definitely be back. Thank you again!

A bit shoddy

Overall the location was lovely. Several things were not in working order: there was a leak in the downstairs bedroom when it rained; the toaster was broken; the hot tub was dirty; the dishwasher leaked. The kitchen was missing essential items for oven cooking like cookie sheet, large baking pan, etc. so making your own meals may be a bit difficult. The upstairs bedroom got exceedingly warmer than downstairs, so be prepared to leave windows open a bit at night if you are staying during cool weather periods. Overall I’d say this place was pretty decent. Loved the keurig coffee maker. The view of the lake was very nice. It was mostly quiet except times the fumigator was running.

nice cabin but bad roads

We stayed in Aug 22 and overall we really enjoyed our stay. When we arrived the AC was not working so we contacted management and they did send someone out that night as an emergency check which we appreciated. However they could not repair it that night so we slept with windows open that night. The AC was fixed before 10am next morning. Thankfully. The roads in the entire rental area are terrible. VERY narrow and in horrible condition. Washed out along sides of payment and tons of potholes. Very poor signage too. The road to the cabin is even more narrow and is a washed out shale road. The roads in the entire complex need repair. We also never attempted to go out after dark because of roads. That being said the cabin was nice, starting to show some age but clean. The mattress in downstairs is worn and way to soft for me. limited storage for placing clothes. The cabin is very family friendly for those that have children. Stocked with games and things to do. I enjoyed the kayak. My wife loved the bench swings and loved that the back porch was screened in. We both loved the nice snack assortment of crackers, cookies teas etc. That was a great touch! Communication with Vacasa was easy through texting. If we had young children I think they would love the cabin and the lake. The furniture is getting old and the couch (futon/sleeper) is uncomfortable to sit in. We did find out that in the summer time we were in the area that it is a "Weekend" type of tourist place. Most things we wanted to see and do were closed on Monday - Wed. So if you want to do some things check to see when things are open before you come Mon-Wed.

Lake fun!

My family really enjoyed the property. Loved swimming and kayaking in the lake next time they will try to master the paddle board. Hot tub was great but deck gets covered in pine straw and leaves and stuff you track up from the lake but overall we loved it and would love to come back

It was nice, charming and quiet. We enjoyed the fireplace (firewood was provided), kitchen, lake and kayaks. Place was fairly clean and communication and support from Vacasa was good. Also went to the drive in Movie theatre nearby. We ended up not using the hot tub because it wasn't very clean. Also, the grill was in really bad condition. And there were plenty of other Cabins around so it wasn't as private as we had hoped.

Beautiful lake setting

The property was quaint, but had all things needed for a weekend getaway to the mountains. The hot tub and lake view were our favorites about the place. Nothing could have been changed from the property rental, but the neighbors were partying loudly late at night which kept us up, just unfortunate.

The cabin and property were beautiful and we enjoyed Blue Ridge very much. I do suggest that your means of transportation be a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We were not aware that the cabin was on the side of a mountain and after leaving the paved road we got stuck!
