After dinner, head downstairs to the game room to enjoy a friendly game of pool or foosball. While downstairs you will find the covered hot tub located on the lower deck. There’s more seating for everyone, plus a covered swing. You can enjoy yourself from anywhere at Owl’s Eye Lodge.

Owl's Eye Lodge is a beautiful, updated country getaway! It is larger and more spacious than most area properties and the sunsets are amazing! In the country, things are a bit different than in the big city (but the grocery store, Home Depot and Walmart are still only about 7 minutes away):

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE RENTING

1) The roads are hilly and our driveway is STEEP (as is typical of mountain homes in the area). However, the roads on the way to the cabin are well paved and maintained, including the driveway (unlike gravel/dirt like at most local places). Our driveway is grooved for extra traction and has not been a problem for guests. But it is steep. Ideally arrive before dark, as the mountain roads to the cabin are not well lit. Besides, during the day you will be better able to enjoy the lovely views on the ride in. You can check-in as late as you would like via keypad entry.

2) Phone service is generally bad, but this is easily rectified by calling your phone service provider ahead of time to access their free internet phone calling capability. This is the same type of calling as from your phone with the same phone number, it is just done over the internet instead of from a cell tower. This is worth setting up no matter where you are in the USA.

3) The countryside has bugs and critters. We have an exterminator who provides excellent scheduled service. However, bugs and critters will still occasionally enter the property from time to time, and the guest can either trap and free the insect or kill it. We will not judge, but it is part of country life in ANY cabin here

4) The Sugar Creek Racetrack is located about 1.5 miles away and holds races mostly from May through October. The races typically start around 5 and can go all the way to 1 am. Typically these take place twice per month on Saturdays, but they can take place any day. It may be loud. You might want to contact the track to know when the races are before you book! You may even want to check out a race while you are here :)

5) This cabin is ideal for family fun or a weekend getaway for couples. It is doubtful you will find a better cabin for either of these purposes. We do hope you send us your group photos with our living room bear or our owl on the outdoor fireplace!

Wonderful cabin, you have everything you need. Spotless. Incredible views. Loved the cozy carpeted basement with the pool table, footsball and fireplace. Has an arcade - like game upstairs, kids really enjoyed.Andre the host responded within minutes to our emails/questions and even sent me a video how to start up the pilot light/fireplace on the night we arrived. Great place. Highly recommend.

Awesome place this is!! We loved it. We enjoyed the breathtaking views, the quiet during the day, and the sounds of crickets e.t.c during the night. Would love to come back and stay longer. New Year's family trip.

Our family had a wonderful time on New Year's on this cabin. It is a beautiful place, very comfortable and spacious for our family, it was very relaxing sitting on the rocking chairs on the decks, sipping a cup of coffee or hot chocolate while enjoying the gorgeous view, at night, the kids love making smores on the outside fireplace while the adults enjoyed a glass of wine. We were surprised at how well stocked the cabin is. The driveway it's very steep but we have a big SUV and small car and neither of us had an issue. I really recommend this house for your mountain getaway, specially to families, for the convenience of the three floors bedrooms giving you privacy and space and the kids love all the games. My 8 year old grandson told me," I wish we can come back again". Easy access to town. Communication with host was excellent also. Don't think twice and rent this place for your mountain vacation.

Great Views and Packman

We enjoyed the views, sunsets from the hot tub and fire pit, and the game room. The beds were very comfortable and the commute to down town was very close. Roads were paved to the cabin.

Awesome Cabin

Beautiful cabin with everything you could possibly want and more. Amazing view and stocked with all the essentials. Pool table, video games, foosball table and jacuzzi kept the kids and grownups entertained while not out on adventures. Great location. Very close to town but you would think you are the only cabin on the mountain once there.

Birthday Celebration

My family and I celebrated my 81st birthday in this perfect place. We had everything we needed...games, kitchen supplies, rocking chair decks, tv's, comfortable beds and couches that were comfortable enough to sleep on. Blankets, towels, soap, shampoo, you name it, it was available. The communication with Andre was swift. No problem there. Thank you for a great birthday!

Beautiful Home With Beautiful Views!

Wow! This home checked all the boxes. I have never stayed at a rental property that was so well equipped with paper products, soap, even coffee and creamer. The host was very friendly and answered my questions with kindness. The entire home was extremely accommodating and comfortable. We will return!!

Nice place, cheaply done

Wasn’t as clean as it could be, many things were broken. Ripped carpet, kitchen not well equipped, broken freezer, broken refrigerator trays, one stove burner not working. It looks like the owner was cutting corners. We didn’t have enough towels for a big group of people. We told them this and they delivered some right away but some old towels. Overall we didn’t enjoy the house, as much as we could , because of all the issues. Not what we thought it was going to be from the pictures. We heard the economy and taxes are bad an maybe the owner doesn’t want to put more money into keeping it in good shape. The cabin has a lot of potential if they repair all the items.

Wonderful stay near BlueRidge

We had a wonderful stay at the Cabin. We enjoyed our time there so much in the hot tub, at the fireplaces and on the porches, although it was raining :-) Blue Ridge, Ellijay, a lot of nice trails are easy to reach from there. Spectacular Blue Ridge Getaway

We had an amazing stay at Owl's Eye Lodge for my partner's birthday weekend. It was exactly what I had hoped for... a very relaxing and serene time surrounded by nature. The house is very well equipped, it has everything you could possibly need and the beds are super comfortable. We felt so cozy and at home here. I absolutely loved sitting by the fire both inside and outside taking in the breathtaking views. We enjoyed playing pool, Ms. Pacman, Frogger, and relaxing in the hot tub. Firewood was very easy to find very close to the cabin. At first we were slightly intimidated by the steep driveway, but we got over that pretty quickly. Coming from Florida, I got excited about long walks up and down the hills and the delicious drinking water. We spent Saturday afternoon in town checking out the shops. Blue Ridge is a very charming town and everyone was so friendly. Andre is a great host - communication was clear, prompt, detailed and friendly! The entire process from reservation to check out was smooth and easy. Thanks for a great stay and for sharing your home with us!!

New Years under the stars

Our extended family from Europe joined us for an extended weekend in the North Georgia mountains to celebrate the 2023 New Years Eve. The accommodations were as advertised and the owner is very easy and agreeable to communicate with. The “only” issue we had was Mother Nature…. Who plans to have near 70 degree Fahrenheit temps 2k+ feet up in the mountains in December/January?!? Lol…. Still, we had a very relaxing time with family in a VERY accessible property which was still very private. Recommend highly !

Amazing is an understatement!

Our family stayed here this past week for the thanksgiving holiday to celebrate with family friends near by and this place was PERFECT! It slept our family of 10 perfectly. It is tucked back in a quiet neighborhood on the hillside with an amazing view of the mountains. The place was fully stocked and had everything we needed. From the location (so close to town!), to the view, to the house itself, we had the best time and hope to be back to visit. Thanks again Andre for letting us enjoy your beautiful home!

Beautiful fall foliage views!

Beautiful views of the changing leaves! We had a wonderful time staying at this home in Blue Ridge. Our favorite part was making fires in the outdoor fireplace and watching the sunset. Truly beautiful and restorative. You can buy firewood on your way up the mountain. The pool table was a blast for adults and kids. Will definitely be coming back to visit soon!

BLUE RIDGE WEEKEND

I rented this Cabin for the weekend. My husband and our kids and a couple of friends were there. The property is beautiful. The owners was very responsive and check in was a breeze. We will definitely rebook. I think there's race track nearby because it got really loud at one point late evening and night. But other that, it was a great stay.

Rocking Chairs and Sunsets

Our family of 7 adults relaxed and enjoyed our time together at Owl's Eye Lodge! The house is clean, furnished well and the beds are comfortable. It provided us with plenty of space to gather or spread out as needed. Though the kitchen is smaller, it is well equipped for cooking just about anything you'd like. We especially enjoyed the porch and it's rocking chairs and mountain views - for morning tea, afternoon reading and brilliant sunset viewing. The fireplace on the porch is perfect for conversations and s'mores. The hot tub is a nice place to relax. The pool, foosball and video game tables were a fun addition to board game and movie opportunities. We will definitely check Owl's Eye Lodge's availability first for our next trip to N. GA.
