  • Very private and cozy dome in a rare location. If you truly want to meet the Icelandic nature and weather then this is the place for you. It has a fireplace, panorama sauna and not a person in sight. A superb place to see the northern lights or enjoy the midnight sun. You have to work for your reward by walking for about 10 minutes to the dome from the parking at the farm. Its a good base if you want to see the golden circle but also ditch the traditional hotels and crowds.

Everything was amazing! The bathroom is bigger than the bathroom in our apartment sauna is an incredible addition, though we didn’t use bc it was plenty warm during our stay. 15/10 loved it

We’ve never felt more compelled to leave a review. We’ve stayed in some incredible places, but MtDome was truly something special and tops them all.The dome was even bigger than we expected—you would be hard-pressed to find a hotel room this spacious anywhere on the island. But what impressed us most was how thoughtfully designed and functional everything was. The host truly thought of every detail. The heating, Wi-Fi, kitchen, coffee setup, and sauna were all incredibly easy to use, and the entire place felt comfortable and welcoming from the moment we arrived.There were interesting books, tons of games, and so many little touches that made us want to simply stay in and enjoy the space. We had a blast playing cards, relaxing in the sauna, and just taking in the view.And that view. Falling asleep in such a comfortable bed looking out at the Icelandic landscape was unforgettable. We happened to have a rainy evening, and somehow even the rain made the experience better—it turned the dome into the coziest, most romantic place imaginable.This was one of those rare stays where the property itself becomes one of the highlights of the trip. We came to Iceland expecting incredible scenery and experiences; we didn’t expect one of our favorite memories to simply be spending time together here.If you’re considering booking MtDome, do it. This place is incredibly special, and we already know we’ll be talking about our stay here for years to come.
