"Really enjoyed our stay. Also had dinner which was tasty. Breakfast was a little leisurely for us which would have been fine if we had more time."

"Excellent all around and lovely staff"

"The hotel is very well run and the hosts are very helpful. The rooms are a decent size. Although it took a while for the water to warm up in the shower. I acknowledge that this is beyond the owner’s control, but my second floor room overlooked a junction and the traffic was noisy . At about 4am a lorry collected the empty glass bottles. The noise of the crash as the glass shattered was shocking. Avoid a roadside room on a Wednesday morning….if you want undisturbed sleep."

"Such a nice place to stay and very beautifully antique yet modern. The view of the castle was amazing from our room and it was a nice walk through the quaint town to visit the castle. Breakfast was great and so nice that it was included. Dinner was very good too."

"Met at the hotel to celebrate a friend’s ’significant’ birthday. From the moment we arrived at reception to the minute we checked out, the staff could not have been more friendly, professional and helpful. The restaurant was very busy but our party was looked after with cheerful efficiency and the quality of both food and wine was of a high standard. Our room was comfortable, stylish and well-equipped and the whole experience offered excellent value for money."

"Staff were just spot on. A warm welcome & so so helpful. Even when we had a teeny issue with our meal, they apologised, sorted & kept ensuring the rest of our meals / stay were as we would expect. Breakfast was one of the best I have experienced."

"FANTASTIC HOTEL. The location, the service, the bar and restaurant were all truly 5 star. Woke up this morning after truly good sleep in massive room overlooking the priory and ruins. The reception staff was simply wonderful, just little things like letting us have a coffee and a croissant when we came in to drop suitcases off before check in time. Little drink tokens on the house, to be enjoyed in a truly gorgeous bar & restaurant. We loved everything and will be back 😊"

"We stayed in the Cottage room with Garden view. Our stay was very quiet and peaceful. Rooms are very big and very cleaned. View from the room was beautiful. Location of this Hotel is perfect everything is within walking distance hence it was easy for us to explore the town."

"Perfect place and very quite lovely and cosy. Thanks Richard👍👍"
