The Bakery Loft in Blairsville

The loft is located on the second and third floors of a historic building on the main street of quaint Blairsville. It’s just above Market Street Pastries, so you’ll enjoy the smell of fresh baked goods from the loft! On the second floor you’ll find an open-plan kitchen and living room with massive windows and a sofa bed. The sun-drenched second floor also has a a workspace and a bathroom. Enjoy panoramic views of the mountain range from the third floor in this serene, minimalist space.

The loft is conveniently located above a bakery and cafe. Blairsville is a very walkable small town, with several restaurants, a gallery, and other shops.

Blairsville Riverfront Trail is a wonderful place to walk or bike. There is also access to the Conemaugh River, a popular spot for kayaking and fishing within walking distance.

Blairsville is very walkable and the loft is located in the center of town.

Public Transportation Options

Blairsville is accessible by bus from Pittsburgh International Airport via Fullington Tours bus service.

The closest Amtrak train station is in Latrobe, a 20 minute Uber drive away.

There is a conveniently located bus stop right across the street (the IndieGo bus), which can take you to Walmart, 5 minutes away, or the neighboring larger town of Indiana, about 20 minutes away.

What a wonderful space in downtown Blairsville! Sarah did an amazing job of decor and functionality of the space! Loved reading in the window space overlooking the town. Convenient to local shops and restaurants (Iron Alley was our favorite!). Great winter wonderland stop for these southerners, will be back to see the river in the summer!

Unique & Fun Getaway

Our family of four would normally stay in a hotel when coming to visit family in Blairsville, but this time we opted to try something different. The Bakery Loft was a great space for our family! There is plenty of room in the loft for a family to spread out so you are not on top of each other like a hotel room. You have the 2nd and 3rd floor available to you! The view from the loft was beautiful and everything was clean and comfortable. Just remember there are stairs up to the apartment. I would probably pack a smaller suitcase instead of one large one! We had everything we needed in the apartment. The property manager was so responsive and helpful! Oh and don’t forget to check out the Market Street Bakery downstairs! Everything is delicious!! The maple rolls and cheese danishes were to die for!!

Amazing!

The place was gorgeous and unique. We also had access to all rooms which was a big plus for our state of mind! The town was absolutely stunning. If you are looking for a beautiful small town to get away then this stay is for you!

Charming little spot above a great bakery

I stayed here with two older kids while visiting family nearby. Sarah was very responsive and very easy to work with during all phases of the rental. Upon arrival we were immediately impressed with how clean and tastefully decorated the rooms were. Although small, the accommodations are quite comfortable and we all loved the bookshelves. Everything in the kitchen appears new, and the place is obviously well kept. The bakery below has excellent coffee and pastries, but can get (understandably) crowded. The only thing I’d suggest considering for future guests is to be aware that the unit faces the Main Street which is fed by Route 217. As a result there are sometimes noises due to truck traffic passing at night. That said, there’s nothing anyone could do about that and in any case it wouldn’t stop us from choosing this rental again. In summary, this is a delightful little property and staying there was a good experience. I would have no reservations about recommending it to others.
