Felt at Home

Our stay at Sheilgreen was wonderful. The house was very clean and cozy, and we felt at home immediately. The location was near town, with groceries within walking distance, while also being near many historical and scenic sites. The owner was easy to contact, but we didn't need anything while we were there. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.

Absolutely superb.

Absolutely superb. Found a rare unbooked week there in late August and had a wonderful time. The photos and description undersell the virtues of Shielgreen. Soon realised 18 years of renting it out with the reviews in the visitors book that so many people can't be wrong. I've stayed in many self catering cottages over very many years and this is quite simply probably the very best, Customer choice awards say it all.

My friend and I loved it.

My friend and I loved it. The cottage is much better than we expected. It is fully equipped, in fact more than anyone would need for a holiday. Especially the kitchen, everything you need and more besides. Each room was large and comfortable. Comfy chairs and sofa. Large dining table and chairs. The sun room was our favourite in the morning. Everywhere was warm and we needed nothing. There was plenty of maps and information about the local area that we made us of. Jigsaws, books, games, DVDs and CDs. Brilliant for wet weather. A large enclosed garden that looked good in February. I imagine it is wonderful during the spring, summer and autumn. Lovely quiet area. Lovely walks for the dogs right on the doorstep. Friendly neighbours who put the rubbish bin out for us without asking. The walk to the nearest shop took about 20 minutes, but I have bad legs so may be quicker. Blairgowie and the river is lovely. Everything you would need. The butcher gave our dogs cooked ham twice! Buses are regular and driver and passengers friendly and dog friendly Our contact James was very helpful and friendly. I know we could have asked for his help if needed. I will definitely come again.
