4/10
Very small rooms, I understand it says “mini” hotel but it felt claustrophobic, narrow stair cases and no sound proofing. Could constantly hear people coming and going, the room itself was boiling. I was in room 7 and it was 31 degrees and yet there was a storage heater in the room instead of a fan. The view of the garden was disgusting. Breakfast was pitiful cheap sausages, lukewarm beans and some egg, watered down squash and no coffee, not even coffee in the room and there was just espresso cups in the room so unable to have a proper cup of tea.. there were no shhampoo or shower gel left in the bottles and was hair in the shower drain, some poo on the toilet brush. The whole feel of the building was uncomfortable and felt unsafe. Staff were weird and hide behind a divider during breakfast.
The front door was irritating and difficult to get into, and there was no sign on the building to indicate it was the mini hotel. The sign in the room made it seem like affordable luxury but there wasn’t even the effort to get the basic needs of a hotel room right. The beds must be decade old as all the springs are coming through, awful night sleep. The rooms look dilapidated and in desperate need of painting. The WiFi was nowhere to be seen and so I had to rinse my 4g. No plugs near the bed so couldn’t charge my phone whilst in bed or sat down. Also no sugar in the room.
Just pay a bit more and avoid the disappointment, prioritise safety and hygiene and just stay at a premier inn.
