The Space:
Welcome to Il-Mezzanin. This property is solely for holidaymakers who appreciate and respect the art of curating a beautiful space. So much love and attention to detail have been poured into this holiday home that the energy of this unique property empowers guests to curiously explore the island’s rich history and dive deeper into what living like a local is really like. Il-Mezzanin has been recently renovated and no expense has been spared to ensure that this place will feel like a true home away from home.
The welcome area includes a lounge area together with a fully equipped kitchenette with everything you need to prepare your own meals. The first floor includes a spacious double bedroom complete with a sofa bed, a walk-in wardrobe and, a pretty shower room. A very large Smart TV has been added for guests who want to spend time lingering in bed, if relaxation is the name of the game then Il-Mezzanin is your slice of heaven.

This area is truly buzzing and beautiful. The location is prime & full of so many activities - great eateries, incredible churches and an intriguing history. This location is incredibly popular among travelers eager to explore Malta's rich history and vibrant culture.
Wander through the gorgeous streets of Birgu, meet the friendly locals, purchase treasures from pretty hidden-away shops and, taste some of Malta’s finest home-made dishes without having to hop into a car. After exploring all of the Three Cities (Birgu, Bormla and Isla), you can easily take a quick but very fun boat ride to Sliema, Valletta and so many other wonderful cities and towns to explore the rest of the islands at your own pace knowing that you have a very pretty holiday home to relax in at the end of your rewarding day.
From day one of your stay, you’ll quickly understand why the islands are celebrated by travelers from all over the world. The location offers the amazing tranquil and traditional ambiance of the village streets of Birgu and is conveniently located right by some of the most popular cafés, restaurants, winebars, and the famous Cottonera Waterfront Promenade - home of some of the world’s luxury yachts.
Getting Around:
The island’s compact size makes exploring charming towns and stunning coastal views easy, while ferry services connect you to nearby islands like Gozo and Comino. You can easily explore the islands of Malta by renting a car, taking a bus, or opting for a taxi, all of which are simple solutions. This is a self‑check‑in holiday home. Your unique access code will be available in your Guest Portal once the eco tax has been paid and your Self Check‑In Form completed. Codes activate at 3:00 PM, our official check‑in time. If you’d like to drop off luggage earlier, send us a quick message and we’ll confirm if it’s possible, depending on our cleaning schedule. This is a very popular holiday home and our housekeeping team needs 5–6 hours to prepare the property to a high standard, so your understanding is appreciated. Once your booking is confirmed, our Guest Experience Team will be in touch and you can choose your preferred way to communicate with us; our phone number is also available in the Guest Portal if you’d like to speak to someone directly.
Submitting your eco tax online:
Eco tax, in line with Malta’s Environmental Contribution regulations, must be paid securely via our online payment link before arrival. A secure payment link is sent to you upon booking confirmation. The apartment looks bright in pictures. Far from it in reality. It’s damp and cold. There is mould, too. I arrived early on the day of check in. I called to find out if I could enter the apartment before 3:00 pm. I was told that the apartment was being refreshed for me. There was no one “refreshing” the apartment. When I entered it, the place smelled of dampness. It was all a performance. The initial contact and subsequent conversations were with a chatbot. In fact, I was never sure if I communicated with a machine of a human. Whoever thought that talking to an algorithm was a good idea?
