Lovely old building, inside was a bit tired, minimum breakfast, good location, very friendly staff, ok for the price we paid.

Basic hotel . Beautiful building with a great window designed by William Morris that we only knew about by looking the place up. Needs a little tlc . Breakfast was basically toast . Good location very close to the five rise locks .

No restaurant even tho it was mentioned on the website. Had to go out for food after a long drive. Was hoping for a nice relaxing evening in the hotel. The staff were very good and helpful. The building itself is very impressive. The "continental breakfast" was awful. Very little choice.

The few lovely staff are coping with a sadly run down building which must have been magnificent in its day. There is no longer a restaurant or bar and the drive has huge poorly filled pot holes. Such a shame

Paltry breakfast with 4 cereals, a few mini yogurts, five tiny apples, four dried up oranges and half a loaf of white bread for more than 9 guests. Milk and butter ran out after four guests had eaten and there was no more in the hotel! I went out for breakfast for the next day.

Firstly, this is a beautiful building. It has stunning original features including a William Morris designed stained window at the top of the stairs. The guy I spoke to was very nice too. That’s where the good stuff ends really. Room was cold and damp and I could smell it on my clothes when I left. Not very clean either. It was all just a bit of an odd experience. It was just very tired. It’s such a shame as this could be a fantastic hotel. Did I mention the building is beautiful? I really wanted to like this place and I hope someone saves it. So much history and potential. Great car park too!

Parking was great, lovely building, lots of potential. There was no heating, very cold, sink blocked, toilet flush poor, bed very uncomfortable and continental breakfast a proper joke. Shame because it could be lovely.

Truthfully, it feels the owners do not C A R E. Either they are selling it, or actually believe this hotel is up to standard. Not worth the price you pay for a night. Pros: - front desk staff are really nice and helpful - we had hot water unlike some other guests - perfect location - gorgeous exterior Cons: - tired, old and run down rooms - rooms smell moldy, carpets are stained, bathrooms are ancient - beds are OK, enough to get you by - no breakfast btw lol they throw some cereal and coffee on a table and call it a day This place has so, SO much potential. But if you’re coming in the next few months - go to the Hilton instead. It’s not worth your energy or money. Until this place gets a major renovation and fix up - don’t bother.

Very poor staff, only one person, disinterested and uncommunicative. Room had wall creeper growing thru the window and bathroom floor. No hot water. Breakfast was minimal - bread and jam, small selection of jams, no way to make tea or coffee and no staff available. Despite the nice historical decor I would NOT recommend this hotel. Fawlty Towers lives

The restaurant was closed. Ni one answered the phone. Curtains didn’t fully shut. No soap. Cold shower in morning. No one manning breakfast. Had to knock on staff door to get tea. Guy hadn’t a clue even put the milk in the teapot. Continental breakfast just had a few children’s type cereal toast bowl of fruit yogurt. No milk out to have on cereal. Had to chase that up. One guest had slug in bedroom. Another bought their own bits in to have with breakfast

Gorgeous Grade 2 listed building. The price was brilliant for what it was. We paid £153 for 2 nights. There was a lovely walk down into Bingley by the canal and there were plenty of nice pubs and restaurants. The rooms were stunning - we stayed during the end of 30oC heatwave but there was a plug in fan in the room that did well to keep us cool. Breakfast was included in the price - not much selection but staff were eager to help and even passed out ice cold bottle of water. The property inside and outside was stunning, the rooms were a great size and I didn’t mind at all that they weren’t updated. It’s just a shame it seems like it’s fell into disuse over the years and there was no bar or restaurant. It’d also be great if there was space outside in the garden to eat breakfast. I never write reviews but would definitely stay there again

If you want a quiet location for a short break,you wont go wrong at all. Nice hotel, friendly and professional staff. Continental breakfast was very good.

This would have once been a beautiful little family run hotel I imagine. However walking through the door we immediately realised it had not been cared for or well maintained for likely a number of years. Dark, very dated, no visible staff and when we found one they were in a tracksuit and felt like I had walked into their lounge. It felt dead, the bedrooms were dated and dusty with paint peeling and equipment straight from the 80's / 90's. Bedding was clean and location is ideal for places like Howarth or Salts Mill. But that is really where the compliments end sadly.
