    Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. LPG central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Outbuilding with freezer. . Enclosed garden with patio and garden furniture. 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. Electrical car charging point available. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a spring, and the garden is steep.. The perfect getaway destination, this pretty cottage sits at the heart of a farm in the Upper Tweed valley on the Scottish Borders. Dawyck Botanic Garden and Stobo Castle Health Spa are situated locally, whilst the market towns of Peebles and Biggar, with their excellent range of pubs and restaurants, are both a 15-minute drive. The living room of Nettlebush Cottage is wonderfully light, and has a lovely wood burner to sit in front of whilst spending a cosy night in. French doors, with level access, lead to the patio and the steep natural garden, and it’s a delight to wake up in the morning to enjoy the view down to the River Tweed and the hills above the valley. The property is set on a working sheep farm with good walks from the door, and the John Buchan Way begins in Broughton, 2½ miles away. Fishing, cycling and mountain biking are all local pursuits with the facilities at Glentress, 20 minutes’ drive. Edinburgh is a scenic, hour’s drive north and is a wonderful place to experience at any time of year, but especially for the vibrant atmosphere during the Edinburgh Festival in August and spectacular celebrations at New Year. Beach 35 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 8½ miles.

Delightful wee cottage

A very cosy wee cottage! In a great location with good views and plenty to do. A great treat to have a wood burning stove to cosy up next to on the long winter evenings

Lovely holiday get away.

Lovely holiday get away. Very quiet. Met the owners mother who was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Had time to for a chat and told us the places of interest. Lovely lady. The property was lovely, clean and well equipped. Would definitely return in the future and will definitely be recommending it others.

We had a wonderful, relaxing break at Nettlebush Cottage.

We had a wonderful, relaxing break at Nettlebush Cottage. It is an idyllic hideaway in an unspoilt part of the Borders and a picture-postcard setting in the snow. The cottage is warm and cosy and there are plenty of walks to do straight from the door. We are already planning our next break there!(Just a minor point- there was no mention of log supply in the property description on the website nor in the pre-holiday info we were sent. I had to contact cottages.com before our holiday to check if logs were included, and was told that there was an initial supply, so we brought our own logs to supplement. However there was actually a full basket of logs in the cottage, which lasted a few days, and additional logs were available to buy at the farm at a reasonable price. It would have been useful if this information had been included with the booking details beforehand).

An amazing short break.

The cottage is in a fantastic and picturesque location. Very very quiet indeed. My only niggle was with Cottages.com. Communication between myself and them was horrendous. I emailed about 7 times and finally got a short answer a few days before leaving for my break. Unfortunately this was too too late. I did meet the owners who were absolutely lovely. I would definatley stay here again.

Such a lovely location and cottage, we eloped to Scotland to get married and spent our honeymoon here and it couldn't have been better, anyone staying here will go away feeling relaxed Thank you

We stayed here over Christmas, looking to get away from everything and everyone.

We stayed here over Christmas, looking to get away from everything and everyone. It was just magical!!! We got a wee bottle of fizz from the owners on Christmas Day which was a lovely touch. It was everything we wanted and our dog loved it too.
