Cozy Home located in downtown Big Bay

Home located in downtown Big Bay across from Draver Park. Home was built in 1926 as a school house, located on a large private 1+ acre lot. Plenty of room for vehicles, trailers and campers. Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ATV riding, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, and so much more awaits you. Thunder Bay Inn, Big Bay Lighthouse, Lumberjack Bar, Bay Cliff Health Camp, Huron Mountains, Perkins State Park, Thomas Rock, several trails, rivers and waterfalls to explore. Big Bay is 25 miles from Marquette, MI, only a 30 minute drive along County Road 550. Just a short distance from Squaw Beach| Burns Landing with access to Lake Superior and its beautiful sandy beaches and Lake Independence .Whatever the season Big Bay is the place for you to enjoy the outdoors or maybe just get away from it all...

Pictures don't do the house justice, so much more room than we thought! Everything was very clean, location was perfect for the fishing tournament and plenty of plowed space in the driveway for our trailer and machines. House was cozy and warm, however heat was only in the communal space so bedrooms would get a little chilly if the doors were shut at night but it wasn't a big deal. Kitchen was well stocked and the extra towels, soaps, toothpaste, etc were a nice touch! Shower knobs were difficult to navigate but we figured it out eventually and we never ran out of hot water. Overall it was a great place! We would stay here again!

Splendid cottage! Very clean and very well organized and stocked! Located close to several wonderful waterfalls and Lake Superior. Big Bay is a very curious little hamlet with everything you need blocks way!

The house was very clean and comfortable. We were there to rock climb and it was an easy 15-30 minutes drive to several spots. The host was very responsive and even picked up some additonal puzzles and games when I mentioned we enjoyed having those as options.

Big bay getaway- great house!

We have a large family that visits near this listing that won’t fit our extended family of 13. My family of four stayed here for a week and it was great! Clean, well stocked and very communicative. Couldn’t have asked for a better place

I stayed in the little school house for 5 weeks. Was there because my daughter who lives close by had a baby. Enjoyed every minute. The Best Stay in Big Bay

This was simply the perfect place for us to stay! Clean & comfortable. With a bad back, I appreciated the comfortable bed. Everything we could need was provided, especially a well-stocked kitchen. Quiet, secluded neighborhood. The Host was responsive to our needs and questions. We enjoyed the Big Bay/Marquette area so much that we added an extra day. We really can't think of enough good things to say about this property, we highly recommend it!

Cute & very clean little house

Stayed here when visiting our son in Marquette & to do some hiking in the Big Bay Area. Older but very clean & nice updates to this cute little house! Host left many extras if you needed them like toothpaste, shampoo & conditioner, body wash, & bug spray. Did not use kitchen really but looked to be well stocked for cooking. Location is great as is close to store & the couple places to eat like The Lumberjack Tavern. Also near Yellow Dog Falls trail & Thomas Rock scenic lookout. Communication was great with host.

Perfect little house

Group of 4 guys stayed for a fishing trip. There are only 3 beds, but the hosts graciously offered to bring a rollaway in for us. Owners were very prompt and helpful with any issues we had. Nice clean place

Exactly what we wanted!

We loved this property and the location, midway between visiting both sides of the peninsula. The house was set up perfectly. Great kitchen and bed. TV for night watching. Washer/dryer. AC! Great hostess! Lots of nearby hikes. We would definitely book again.
