This detached barn conversion, situated in the heart of North Devon, sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms; a super king double bed and pyramid bunk. All the rooms are on one level, with 1 small step into the kitchen. The barn features a large lounge, dining room and kitchen, bathroom with large walk-in shower and double sinks, airconditioning in the bedrooms, and underfloor heating throughout supplied from the environmentally friendly wood pellet biomass heating.

This south facing barn looks out over the ornamental garden from its two private patios (one looking over the walled garden, and one looking over the ornamental courtyard garden), and is adjacent to the large 1,500m² walled garden.

High Park Barns has a secure, purpose-built 1 acre dog exercise field located on site. Designed with safety, freedom, and fun in mind, our fully enclosed field, with 1.8m high fencing, offers dogs the perfect space to run, play, and train off-lead in a safe and private environment. The dog field is open daily in the morning and evening for staying guests at no cost. Additional time can be booked during the day.

The barns at High Park were built in the early 1900's, shortly after the main house was built in the mid 1840’s.

It offers easy access to beaches, moors, coastal path walks, cycle paths, golf courses, horticultural gardens, children friendly fun parks, and many other traditional outdoor and indoor recreational activities for those seeking a truly relaxing, yet active, break away from the stresses of day-to-day life.

The barn is situated with 14 acres of private land. Within the grounds is a shared indoor swimming pool and hot-tub, and large natural lake featuring stunning vegetation and decked terrace.

The barn has access to four 7.2kW electric vehicle (EV) destination chargers.

The barn is dog friendly, and you are welcome to bring them at £25 per dog per week or part thereof.

Very nice

Very nice location and amenities. Surrounding area and beaches also excellent, our favourite being Westward Ho! The dairy next door for milkshakes was always our first point before heading off for a walk along the beach. The only slight thing I would have to say was some areas of the accommodation needed a little more of a thorough clean, especially when we we collecting toddler toys from under bed TV cabinets. Outstanding though in all other respects.

Fabulous Property and Overall Experience

Our stay was wonderful, so much so that we stayed an extra night! Everything was catered for, cream tea was fabulous, cleanliness of the property and facilities was excellent, communication with the owners was easy and very helpful. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus and the individual timings for the use of them made it feel safer. All in all, a high quality stay. We will be back.

Lovely rural setting with excellent amenities

We stayed here with our two girls and dog. The barn was very well equipped and beds extremely comfortable. The pool and hot tub were a big hit with the kids and the grounds are beautiful and very peaceful. It was a lovely holiday, Fiona was on hand if we needed anything and the location was great for getting about. Thanks for having us!

We had an amazing weekend The cottage was good but the bedrooms were cold couldn’t get heating in bedroom The hot tub indoors was lovely and so hot Didn’t use the heated pool but looked nice will love to come back in the summer

Fantastic location & facilities. Sheldon Barn was absolutely perfect for our short break with our 2 spaniels. Anne-Louise & Paul the owners, made us feel very welcome and we have now booked to re visit in September. Highly recommend.

Lovely relaxing break

We had a really friendly welcome from Ann-Louise who supplied a delicious home made cream tea and a bottle of proper fresh milk from the dairy next door! Everything was there that we needed for a lovely holiday and the place was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The added bonus was the indoor swimming pool and hot tub...fantastic! We loved the fact that it’s very dog friendly too....would not hesitate in recommending this property.
